This is a good Pharmacy. Ignore people ranting. If you use the NHS app to order and track prescriptions you know when the GP has approved and the request is then with the pharmacy, within 2-3 working days my prescriptions have always been processed and are ready for collection. I order over ten items at different times regularly with Fir Rd the only issue is drug stock, specialist items. The communication is good I get an IOU or I go searching a larger chain pharmacy with a big warehouse system Boots who can source. With a variety of lifetime drugs Fir Rd has been a great service to rely on. Well done

Why this pharmacy is operating is beyond my belief,Regular tune about your prescription are ,We don?t have itWe can?t get it ,When ask to release the prescription,They say ok we done it and when you travel another chemist,What you hear is ,Fir rd chemist hasn?t released your prescription etcIs this a pharmacy or green grocersSomeone should able to guid us all to make a complaint to the body responsible to check them out!!

For the second time in 3 prescription runs my prescription failed to reach the health centre, leaving me precariously short of medication and putting the onus on me to chase around and try to sort things out. This also affected my wife whose prescription, including insulin, was not delivered to the surgery.This used to be a lovely pharmacy and we never had a problem, frankly the new owners have had a terrible effect on this business, you should expect to receive a safe and effective service. If the pharmacy has a systems problem then it needs to invest in improvements and quickly.I need to switch to a reliable pharmacy - any recommendations?

Terrible service - received an incomplete prescription, despite ordering over a week in advance. No one wanting to take responsibility for or explain the reason, just a load of excuses and 'it wasnt me'.Such a shame as used to be a really good and helpful Pharmacy.

Fir Road PharmacyLast year the pharmacist gave excellent service and helped me. I was very impressed and expressed my appreciation for going above and beyond.Last Tuesday, July 11th, was a different experience, sadly. It?s worth mentioning that the customer in front of me was not impressed either, although I don?t know what his issue was. But, he gave me a wry knowing look as he left. A warning no doubt. I soon found out.I asked assistant one for Piriton tablets. At first she looked in the script section before realising. Oops! A promising start. Then assistant two joined in. She asked me for clarification and what was Piriton [used] for. I explained. Assistant two showed me a bottle of liquid Piriton. Then assistant one said they didn?t have desired tablets. Neither bothered to look more thoroughly. I suggested if they didn?t know what they were doing they should ask another member of staff for help. Assistant one took great umbrage and said she wouldn?t be spoken to like that and I should ask the staff in the dispensing section. What?!Assistant two was more interested in arguing. Clearly she was offended somehow. I waited and had to ask assistant three for help and she immediately found the non-branded version, no fuss. All well and good, in the end, perhaps. Except, assistant two escalated matters by tossing the tablet box across the counter at me. That action was unnecessary in the situation. That huge chip on her shoulder had clearly unbalanced her. Her attitude was out of order and disproportionate to my mind. It?s not my fault assistant two didn?t know how the shop was stocked. I think she would do well to learn from assistant three.I?m sorry she didn?t get my sarcastic comment, born out of irritation, but if she had been better trained in customer liaison and indeed that Piriton was hay-fever treatment and what the alternatives were, then she could have avoided her petulant strop.I wouldn?t normally write like this or waste time complaining but, I suggest there is a staffing issue that needs to be addressed.A customer.

This pharmacy was fantastic for many years but for months now I have had problems. Recently my prescription has not been delivered when expected. They seem to have problems processing the prescription service, I spoke to the health centre and they assured me Fir Rd pharmacy had all the necessary details. This morning I have spent 3 hours using speed dial trying to phone them. I have an hour left before they close. I think I may need to change my dedicated pharmacy

The staff in this chemist are incredible, whoever answers the phone or greets you when you walk in doesn?t matter, they genuinely care for you and what you need. Being Type 1 diabetic and on my way to a third reoccurring brain tumour surgery, these guys ?just get it? and understand the basic principle that I NEED certain medication. Maybe Fir Road pharmacy staff could train the staff at Springfield surgery so they could learn some phone manners and how to be happier and more helpful in general?

Absolutely hopeless. Since the previous owners left I have never come here without there being a problem with the prescription. There is no sense of responsibility for the fact that many such prescriptions are absolutely critical.

recently moved to area been in 3 times always an issue scrip not ready or not got items or just not got scrip!! I am not the only one while I was for the 2nd time today for them to find my scrip another customer had missing items off her scrip which had been with them 9 days!! will only use if I have to no apologies, no please or thank you could it just be a Saturday? Also don't answer the phone!!

Staff here are always polite and helpful in these terrible times. I have used them for over ten years and they have never run out of any medication that I take. They also have a great variety of make up and beauty products. Also they make sure you understand how to take any medication prescribed to you.
