Went to visit primark for the first time today and it was a lovely big store, plenty of clothes or adults and kids, however 1 person on cash and returns, I decided to use self service was lad and his colleague was just stood at top end the self serve doesn't alert them if something is wrong we literally have to shout to them to them look straight through you after 10 minutes he finally came to help me think I'd wait a further few minutes to pay cash in future.

Bought a base ball cap for 3 quid, excellent tbh even has venting holes,Bought to replace a more expensive one as i left it in the communal lounge where i live with bag and smack heads etc so I'll probably not leave the 3 quid one around if i can help it.

A superb place to buy clothing and other products.
The staff there are very proffessional, caring and polite and they always treat a customer with the utmost respect, they always want to help if you have any sort of problem for example I bought some mens briefs but did not know if they were the right size for me, so asked one of the Primark staff who advised and helped me.
To get that loving kind of help from a member of staff who was stocking up shelves meant a lot to me.
I proceeded to the self checkout area and accidentally scanned the item twice. I explained what I had done and the lady said no problem, and the lovely lady sorted the problem out for me.
I went to exit and could not get out, so another lady said just scan your receipt and the gates will open.
I just want to thank the Staff at Primark for their help.

I had a great service and experience with this branch

New store is terrible! Your receipt scanning system to exit at the opposite end of the store is a stupidly bad idea and whoever designed the layout needs to give their head another scratch! Absolute terrible store compared to old one.

Felt a lot more spacious than most primarks - great service from staff and as always very competitive prices on everyday practical clothing ?

Nice new store, however, really impractical. The choice of clothes seems better however there are less fitting rooms than before. The tills are also very poorly thought out. 10+ self service and just 2 tills for returns, cash payments and people not wanting to use self service. I needed to return something and was waiting for a very long time due the same tills being used just for paying. There should be a seperate till for returns. The click and collect also needs to be more clear as that is literally a button on a wall!

On the fence about it i'm sure when we all heard it was moving into the old Debenhams we imagined all the floors going to use how wrong we were they had such a opportunity and they let it slip while technically it does look slightly bigger unless they plan on doing something else with the other floors just seems like such a waste i will say however i'm glad it was made into something like this then another pointless small business they could really do something like this in middlebrooke they have about 5 large furniture shops all in a row, why? bolton you had the right idea but there's room for improvement

Disappointed!
I was really looking forward to visiting the new Primark in Bolton, expecting it to be a bigger and better store, possibly spread across 2-3 floors. Unfortunately, it?s only one floor and actually feels smaller than the previous location. I left quite disappointed as I was hoping for more variety and a better shopping experience.

It?s a pretty sub-standard Primark to be fair. I was expecting good things after the move to the Marketplace however the store itself isn?t particularly as exciting as I expected. The range of different products they have I would say is on par with the old location besides the new makeup ranges and body care ranges which weren?t too bad. Obviously the self serves they have added across some stores now including this one is great! In terms of the store itself however, I don?t see much improvement. Would of loved to see a multi story one in Bolton which I kind of expected. Let down.

When they said that Primark was moving from Crompton place to the market place and taking over the former Debenhams I honestly thought it would be amazing, 2 maybe 3 floors of clothing with possibly a cafe and a barbers like in Manchester, we went on the opening day and I was so disappointed at the one floor layout, even though it's bigger than the crompton place store it's just so weirdly laid out, why the self checkout bit is right out at the bottom of the store which means you have to walk back through pretty much all of the store to exit just doesn't make sense, I've been a few times since it opened and for some reason the men's section seems to be short of stock in certain areas after just a few weeks of trading, also I cannot get my head around who made the decision at Primark to move to a bigger store and put about 5 changing rooms in it?? All that space and the scrimp on changing rooms?? A total missed opportunity in my book, my advice is next time you open a new shop don't let Stevie wonder design the layout, also I thought the access from the parking levels is a bit rubbish as in if not using the lift you have to walk away from Primark on the first floor then use the escalator to the ground floor then walk back to Primark, just want to point out that the staff are brilliant and helpful...
