Bolton branch... get some staff. Been in three times recently at lunchtime to try and pay in, only ever one person on the windows. Yes...I know staff need to have lunch as well as us customers...but this is a time for working customers to do their banking....on their lunch break. The self service points are always occupied...and not totally reliable for paying in. Only joined Nationwide recently as a second bank. So far...unimpressed.

A great bank to do use, what can I say, truly outstanding experience. Staff really nice people very helpful and professional in dealing with customers. (Sometimes rare these days).
My wife and I had an appointment there on 27th August. All completed to our complete satisfaction.

A better place than Lloyd's Bank (my main bank which I think is less than helpful), the staff are very kind, polite, obliging and curious and totally helpful in every little way.
They always treat every customer with total empathy and care and really care and want to make you feel as you are always wanted and needed.
They will do everything in their power to help, they will explain if you want them to to repeat and explain something to you that you do not understand.
Also by being with them you are a member of Nationwide Building Society and therefore there are a lot of benefits for members.
Especially better interest rates on Various Accounts.

Slowest bank I have even visited in my life. I can feel my life draining away waiting to put money into an account. There?s more staff asking how you are than on the cashier desk ?

Wanted to pay some cash into my Daughters account. I work full time so a trip into an actual branch in town is not possible, tried to pay at the post office and this is not possible as you don't offer this service. Isn't it time this was updated as all branches seem to be closed at the weekend. I look forward to your solution of how to deposit cash.

I wouldn't recommend opening a Help to Buy ISA here. My partner was with Halifax and got an instant transfer of funds when closing the account including the final statement on the spot... Went to close at Nationwide, and we have to wait 5-7 days for the closing statement and either receive the money via cheque of pay £20 to transfer it electronically. Not sure what other banks are like but the Halifax experience was much better.

Came here to open an account 2 months ago. Was told they would send out passbook on a Monday.Waited 2 weeks and called. Same guy said he would post it out that day as had issues previouslyWaited another 2 weeks and called. A different woman told me it was posted that morningFinally called after another 2 weeks and was told it would be going out that eveningIt finally arrived 7 weeks after my initial going into the branch
