I had my car MOT had Halfords, due to having my tyres fitted at another company, I was very late for my appointment, however they still managed to fit me in, all the staff have been lovely, however Matt & Jamie where fantastic! Such a dream team and an asset to Halfords.

My car failed it MOT, and I had a warrenty I spoke to Matt at Bolton branch and he was absolutely brilliant, completed the warrenty assessment form, kept me upto date with each step of the process and repaired my car to get me back on the road ASAP, thank you very much Matt

Discusting rip off company. Do not go to halfords. If I could, I would give 0 stars.
Charging me £1100 for a coil, break pads and a tyre when challenged they informed me they put their own mark up on and double even triple the price of parts. They also charge labour per item not per job. Absolutely scammers.

Had my car serviced at Halfords Autocentre Nile Street Bolton on the 09/06/2025 , I wouldn't recommend this garage for any repairs or carry out any service work to your vehicle, I will not be going here for any
future work , I paid for a full manufacturer service through my motoreasy account and they only checked and topped up the oil and changed oil filter so they said, no proof of this , luckily i know someone that checked if the cabin pollen filter had been replaced while I was visiting him yesterday and it had not been replaced at all (see picture? I went to the garage and had it out with them being told they only approve work that is authorised by motoreasy ,while on the phone to motoreasy at the garage they confirmed they had sent the garage the work details I purchased (full manufacturer) i wouldn't trust halfords again to do any work on my vehicle, if I didn't know someone I would be driving around in my car thinking the work was carried out that I paid for which was £205 i will be contacting the motor ombudsman reporting this and it is currently in motoreasy hands while they investigate this.
Also my car failed MOT the same day at nile street , 2 track rod ends upper outer dust caps cracked or broken, I was quoted on the phone a price of £385 and told this cost is for 2 new track rod ends fitted ,they said you cant buy the dust caps separately, wrong, I did my research and contacted Honda bought 2 dust caps for the rod ends at £20 each , also after checking halfords website the track rod ends for my vehicle costs less than £23 each side so where do they get £385 price fitted from ?
This depot needs to be investigated don't trust any work being carried out on your vehicle will be done correctly here ,imagine if I was an elderly person and told them to go ahead with the work on my car, that is disgusting, ripping people off... Avoid Halfords.

Amazing people and service. No way I could find any fault there. Loved the coffee and Shahbaz's warm and friendly company while I was waiting for MOT. They are skilled and found issues that could eventually be very dangerous as I do a lot of motorways and hills.

To make it serious, please do govern the garage if it is under Halford brand. The suggestion from the Halford Garage at BL3 is totally interesting which none of the professional would give this kind of advisory.
My services (change of tyres) on 6th May 2025 with the suggestion from Halford garage at BL3, they said there would be an *immediate need* to change the whole braking system which cost approximately 624GBP.
I have had my vehicle services at Arnold Clark this March 2025, a garage check on the brake on 4th May 2025, and immediately after the Halford suggestion, I went to a local garage to check on the braking system.
All the above listed told me that my brake could at least last for two more years. All told me that there is no issue on my braking system - included the brake pads and the brake disc.
The MOT done today (20/5) has no issue (no Advisory neither) on my braking system, without doing anything for the maintenance on the braking system.
May I, if possible, to request for an investigation on why, on which ground, would give those suggestion and list an invoice for 624GBP to change the whole braking system.
I am more than happy to provide my MOT video for your understanding while I am much happy if Halford garage could provide me the checking photo to prove that it is worn below manufacture minimum spec. as stated in the invoice...
Not to mention that I was told the whole braking system is not safe to be running on road over the phone. How scary it is!!!!!!!
Would be much appreciate if Halford could open an investigation on this case.
Kindly advise if further info would be needed.
