When the seasons change, my skin often struggles to adapt to the colder weather, leaving a feeling of dryness and a lack of glow. That?s why I was really excited to try the new Hydra Summum facial from Guinot, expertly administered by Sarah at Essentials. Promising to increase the skin?s moisture levels to restore radiance and soothe sensations of discomfort and tightness, I knew this would be the answer to my skin woes.The facial begins much like any other, with a double cleanse and toner, and is followed by an exfoliation with a difference. This exfoliating gel contains cellulose and bamboo particles, alongside jojoba micro beads to gently exfoliate the skin, preparing it to receive the active ingredients which follow.Once the exfoliation is complete, Sarah applies the first active ingredient concentrate, containing a high molecular weight hyaluronic acid to the skin. This helps to fill fine lines, and acts as a deep infusion into the skin. This concentrate is quickly absorbed, and followed by the application of the hyaluronic acid and hydrologic complex, which is massaged into the skin using Sarah?s expert facial massaging technique - always my favourite element of Sarah?s facials.To ensure the maximum amount of hyaluronic acid has penetrated the skin, a mask is applied, containing powerful actives to refresh the skin and repair the skin barrier.This treatment brought the glow back to my face, whilst also re-plumping my skin to give a healthier, more radiant appearance, much as the description implied. The soothed and hydrated sensation lasted for around a week afterwards, and I would definitely have this treatment again. Loved it!
