Absolute joke of a company bought a phone in another store last night tested it for 2 hours yesterday evening decided I didn't like it was told if I wanted to return it I can and to take it back to any CEX store went to Bolton this morning and they basically refused to refund my £525 and tried to get me to put my refund on a voucher I refused this and left I've now emailed the CEO now to get my money back and if I get no response I'll do a chargeback through my bank don't buy anything from CEX absolute rip off merchants seems they feel they can dodge the consumer rights act

Brand new item to trade in. The advisor behind the counter opened the box and the woman about to test the item tried to grade it B because the charger for the item (that their advisor unsealed) was marked?
Your advisor literally opened the item the NEW item in front of me.
Seems like a scam..
Seems like common practice at this branch if you read other reviews ?

WARNING to anyone considering to trade here, attempted to trade in a brand new PS5 controller today.. Agreed with the first employee as 'A grade', popped out for 10 minutes whilst it was being tested.. Returned to be told its now classed as 'B grade', mysteriously they found a tiny mark.. Regrettably I didn't take any photos before hand to prove it wasn't there before.. The first employee was shocked I didn't accept downgrade and took the item away - I suspect unethical behaviour here but can't prove it..

Went here which my AirPods they told me they were fake and didn?t say nothing back to me when I said what you on about I got them from Apple so took them tight to Apple Store in manny they showed me they are real and don?t go to cex bunch of scammers hahahahahah not getting my business ever again

Stock isn?t the best, staff look like they?ve never seen a shower or bath in their life. The only reason for 2 stars is because they had foo fighters playing on the speakers

I bought a game which did not work and had clearly not been tested as the console didn?t even recognise a game had been put into it at all; the staff should actually do their due diligence by testing if the games actually work before selling them. Also at the time of purchase the staff were rude and very blunt; not welcoming at all and made me uncomfortable just waiting to be served.

I have bought a maxxtech pro steering wheel set, amazing price and quality,everything is great especially the staff, but I feel like there's are lot of forgetfulness, I return home with missing wires such as a power supply that powers the product and having to go back there can be time consuming and pretty expensive sometimes, It's just terrible feeling being excited with your dream product and something is missing and you know you can't go back for a while due to work. It's a wait and a half. I'm judt asking for the staff to double check what the product requires and have more knowledge on what different ports of the product actually are and what they're used for. Please try to explain what they do even if nobody asks, it's helpful and not everyone has full knowledge of how to work this product or how to power it up, I think they should provide all the.wires if they have it. I'm stoll missing a important power supple for my product and I can't use a different one due to the potential different voltages and watts that the products requires specifically. Please contact me if anyone can help me get hold of the power supply for the maxxtech pro steering wheel set. I'd rather not wait a full week until I can do something. I want re assurance that you guys can be more reliable.

Brought in a Nintendo sp cobalt blue, staff took it from me and started spinning it backwards and forwards looking at it close inspection? Am waiting! Asked me what I wanted to do with it sell it ? Ok we will need to do a few checks on it even though it was fully charged? Leave it with us and comeback in 15 mins ? I didn?t like the atmosphere to be honest oh and checking my bank statement even though I am a suppose member asking to see my drivers Iicence I?d which had expired as of took the wrong one with me I felt very victimised to be honest after going out the store and returning after 15 mins I was told they don?t take Nintendo sp jap versions which played Europe titles absolutely fine?and they sell the exact same cobalt blue am total confused here? waist of my time and I will not be returning to this store ever again completely put me off the way I got treated like a criminal yet I see people on drugs handing in phones not an issue there.? Very unprofessional and scruffy smelly staff glad I won?t need to go though that again.?
