Tried to donate my sofa today. BHF turned up, took a look and said they couldn?t take it as it was faded. There was no mention of this in the criteria so a complete waste of our time. That?s fine, if they don?t want it. What I do take issue with is the complete lack of disrespect. Having pulled the couches out and all the cushions off they left without putting it back together and in the process scratched our floor pulling the thing out. Incredibly disrespectful when you are trying to do a nice thing. There are so many charities out there who need help and support, based on today?s experience I certainly won?t support BHF anymore.

Very poor staff. A particular woman (staff) was very rude to me and promised to unleash hell at me if I spoke again. Just because I complained to her that my family was coming on a particular day and they wanted to do the delivery of the bed I purchased the day after. I felt very embarrassed. She should be in her 50s that's why I took it all in. That would be my last time there.

TIME WASTERS Don't SAY You'll TAKE PIANOSarranged collection of a donated antique piano in good working order. I was told that was fine and they had a tail lift as I mentioned that lads would need to be fit for a heavy one. They sent two young lads, one was 8stone wet through who said they wouldn't take it if it was too heavy, he couldn't even lift it out of the pile of the carpet, he said some are heavier than others lol yes they are called keyboards. Royally stuffed me when I was due to hand over keys to my rental. Will never have anything to do with this charity. My pal and I moved the piano in aged 42 and my pal is on two false hips and weighs 15stone.

Excellent delivery today, by two wonderfully helpful chaps who already knew of the complexities and frustrations of delivering to the Mill in which I live. They couldn't have been more helpful, so many thanks to them. The shop staff are also great and the stock is brilliant.

Came in to look for a comfy couch and found I had lot to choose from. Left with several large items which were delivered in the time slot I was given. Staff at the store were helpful and friendly. Same with delivery folk. An item had to be returned (tip:make sure you have the right measurements for your doorway!) And was refunded.

This has been my go-to store for furnature, kitchen electricals and appliances for the last six years. Staff are always friendly and proceeds go to a good cause. Store is usually tidy and well laid out, and you can usually get a great deal. I wouldn't be able to afford furnature without them. And they even delivered as far away as Wythenshawe when my disabled friend found a couch he liked in my local store. Thank you.

I booked a sofa collection with them and everything was fine. I was given the date and time that they would come and pick it up. On the day said that they were not able to take it due to one or two little stains. At no time we?re we informed before the collection that it couldn?t have any stains on it. They never let us know and on the day we were supposed to move out, we had to scramble to find and pay someone else to pick up our sofa. Would never use British heart foundation again, like to be nice when they?re selling your stuff for money

There's a good range of furniture and accessories for the home. It's a charity shop so proceeds go to a good cause. The staff and volunteers are friendly and helpful. However, it is far more expensive than similar charity shops for no apparent reason, the delivery charges are far more expensive than similar charity shops, and it has a funny smell.Overall, I'd recommend anyone looking for charity furniture shops in Bolton to try Emmaus, Bolton Hospice Furniture Shop or Bolton Transport and Furniture. There are probably others that could be recommended but these are the 3 that I know.

Terrible place, staffed mostly by jobseekers ordered to do so by the DWP jobcentre minions. The way they treat volunteers is a disgrace. For a company that profits largely from bereaved families, doing house clearances, they lack charity towards their volunteers. Don't shop here and help them profit further. If donating, try the Salvation Army, they really care about fellow citizens.

bit moldy - bit too many bits of old toenail in the febreezed moldy couches. They overprice things, then smash them up in fits of rage when they dont sell. bin be full of smashed up donations. Why do you smash up and bin valuable items that have been donated then? can you explain that? - Sometimes has cheap high-end stereo equipment that is stupidly underpriced.
