Very disappointed. First, the optician testing my eyes didn't seem to know what she was doing in regard to my prescription requiring prisms and made a mistake on the prescription, which required re-testing. They gave me an appt to pick up my glasses which then weren't ready, and then they had to re-do a lens because it was incorrect or damaged. Promised to phone me twice and never did. Poor service.

Karen helpfully booked an eye test appointment on 29/12/21 at short notice on the day scheduled appointments for myself and husband were cancelled at the Middlebrook branch. Karen and Aysha made the examination process smooth. Luke was brilliant at both the point of sale for glasses and the pick up appointment. Nothing was too much trouble and he took the time to ensure the glasses purchased were done so correctly. Brilliant service by the team from start to finish - thank you team :)

I came into store yesterday to pickup my contact lenses i was assisted by Karen who was so patient and understanding talking me through the process of fitting and removing my lenses. My thanks also goes to shazmina for the thorough eye test. I have nothing but thanks to both ladies thank you so much.

I recently accompanied a relative to Boots Opticians in Bolton. My relative has some difficulty with understanding, and with communicating. I know the staff were only "doing their job", but they had such a good way about them, and the way that they did things, that I think it is worth the effort of posting a good review for them. Having failed to find any customer service at Middlebrook, I decided to try Boots in Bolton, and thank goodness a totally different experience.I was greeted with a smile, and off I went to look at frames. I was helped with my choice of frames for both varifocals and sunglasses by Luke. I am now booked in for an eye test and finally looking forward to having new glasses.Well done and thank you to staff in Boots Bolton.

Under the current restrictions, it was fairly easy to get an appointment, people must be aware of the limitations that most stores are under and be prepared to accept that things are not back to normal especially at a practice like an optician.When I arrived I politely waited to be called forward from the barrier, no hardship just common sense, the lady that saw to me to do the pre screening was very polite and professional, it wasn't the usual tests but again understandable. I was quickly sent through to see the optician, who I believe was called Shaz, who again was exceptional and professional, again the test was slightly different but she politely discussed everything with me and I couldn't be more happy with my visit.Just be aware that things are different at this moment in time, they are doing their best for everyone and just go with the flow.

Although the eye test itself seems fine getting an appointment especially if you want to book more than one is a very difficult task for this store. Even after calling me back they were unable to accommodate me during times I'm not in work and available.
