The condition of the fish and tanks is disgusting!! I went in the store yesterday 1st September 2025. 4 cloudy tanks with fish for sale in bad condition, one tank has fish gasping at the water surface .
Staff that served me although pleasant havnt got a single clue or care about fish. I bought just one fish in the end as I didn't want to disease my tank .
They stopped putting gravel in the tanks to make it easier to clean, so now they just don't clean the dirty algie in the bottom of the tanks , disgusting!!
The staff member that served me knew nothing about fish or care of fish , she slammed the sliding door open to find a net to catch my fish scaring the fish in all hhe tanks above . She waved the net madly around in the tank swirling up all the dirty algie. I should have filmed it , she didn't even know the type of fish (Not her fault!!)
I've kept fish for 50 years and gor the 1st time ever in a grubby bag on return home I could not hardly see my fish with all the algie swirling around....Needless to say I didn't want that water in my tank , unbelievable!!
New fishkeepers beware!! This will not be a good experience for you , if you don't know anything about fish, you'll know even less after a visit here it's a shame to see this place detierate like this !!

My daughter and her husband have been going to this place for 15years for there dog who is or sorry was 15 years old Her dog has been on medication for a while now 150pounds a month When they contacted you to tell you there pet had died you had no compassion what so ever which was very upsetting to my family shame on you ???

I order my dog food on a easy repeat subscription. Great except the last two times I have been told my order is ready but it wasn't all there. My food was out of stock in the warehouse but no alternative offered and the payment of £50 still taken! The young woman in the store was apologetic and said I would get a refund. I had to go via customer service twice to get a refund, First person sent apologies and a 10% off voucher. Second person was great and sorted the refund. Finally sourced the food at another store while away on holiday.
The Wainwright's dog food has good ingredients and I switched to it because of easy availability Just the stores performance that lets them down. Hoping this was a blip and they get their act together or will switch to Stockport branch.

Great store but they need to sort out their issues with click & collects and deliveries. Nightmare to get through to on the phone can try up to 20 times before someone answers. If I place a click & collect order it will state a collection date for 3-4 days later, however this is never the case and I end up waiting a further 3-4 days. Pets at home if you know the click & collects are going to take 8 days you should state that. Also when the goods finally do arrive there is no notification to tell you. Without constantly going in or phoning its pot luck. Deliveries can be quicker but unfortunately every delivery I have had the items have been damaged so you can?t win. Please sort these issues out before other people like myself decide to shop elsewhere.
