Fantastic service from Carl and the whole team! We was looking for a property to let and it must?ve been our luck walking in and having something available for us right away. We went to view few days after, and all communication from Alex jones has been 10/10, they kept us updated throughout our process from start to finish as they said they would. A very friendly and polite team. I really appreciate it, and I thank them for looking after us so well . Great job and keep it up ??

Very disappointed with Alex jones estate agents, we viewed a property where the estate agent showing us was very nice and informative he had told us the house had previously sold but the sale fell through. We contacted the office after the viewing and asked why the sale had fell through which they said the buyers had ?financial issues?. We had put an offer in and all was going well until our survey returned which informed us of significant structural issues on the house. The surveyor informed us that they obtained a report off Alex jones estate agents that the current owner had completed after previous sale fell through. Alex jones estate agents knew of the structural issues on the house and we was not informed which would have saved us £600 on a survey if we knew this information before hand as we would not have gone ahead with putting an offer in. when we withdraw out offer on the house they also asked for a copy of the survey that we had bought. A lot of time and money wasted that could have been avoided if they were open and honest with us.

Alex Jones have been professional from start to finish. They were quick to value our home, get it on the market and provided great advice throughout the whole process. They were quick to ask for updates so they could keep both parties informed and the sale went through in just over 2 months! Very happy indeed!

First of all. Apologies for only writing this review nowAlex Jones estate agent sold our property in October 2022. The market had dipped slightly but with their help and experience the team priced the property correctly and it did then sell. The sale was smooth and I was updated with phone calls and emails. Sometimes in life, you just need your handheld while you are busy living your life and Alex Jones estate agent did exactly that. Taking away any stress or worry they made what could have been a difficult time extremely easy. For this, I thank you and will always look to use you in the future and recommend you as I know you will deliver. Many thanks once again. 10/10

I am a landlord and used this estate agents for property rental management. I agreed for work to be done by his contractors but he does not follow up and check that work has been completed. He requests the payments before checking work has even been done. I used his ?approved contractor? to do the EICR and the remedial works resulting from this was completed contrary to the regulations. I had paid Alex Jones to organise these works on my behalf and when the problems came to light he made it very clear he was not responsible. After leaving his services, it came to light he had not organised the gas certificate which was due 1 month previously which is a legal obligation. His administration is bad. After requesting all paperwork, ID had not been taken for 1 of the tenants. His ?thorough inventory? was a photo of each room which was used for marketing. No paperwork, notes, checks were handed over as non were done.I dealt with Alex the owner throughout the tenancy. He may have a history of sales/ estate agency work but he has no knowledge and no interest in wanting to understand what is involved in building maintenance resulting in poor quality work being carried out and at times unnecessary works being done.This is my review and nothing to do with my partners who also had properties for let with Alex Jones. The review left, is just for my property.

I am a landlord Alex Jones managed 2 properties for me.Alex Jones was doing full management for me at a cost of 7% of the rent. I used him from 2016 to 2021. I used him as he was recommended by my partner who was renting her old house. In total he found me 4 tenants.I left Alex Jones for a variety of reasons, in summary:-Proper records were not kept; when handing over the documents after I left him, there were no digital files, no work receipts and no copies of IDs for the tenants, only a plastic bag with a few paper sheets inside and the keys.-He did not provide any evidence of tenant vetting or credit checks, resulting in two tenancies which caused a lot of damage and did not pay rent. (This was only saved by having a guarantor). One tenant was put in to a property who was unemployed, another did not pay for 12 months from moving in, another smashed the place up and was removed from the property by the police. The last tennant stored all the rubbish they had inside the property for 12 months, with rotting food, old nappies, which I then had to remove (no inspection visits).-Proper inventories were not taken prior to a tenancy it was a basic tick box exercise with no photos.-The properties were seldom visited for periodic inspections, or to inspect maintenance work which had been billed for.-The maintenance requests got more and more frequent and more and more expensive. Initially he would take money directly from the rent without even informing me that work had been carried out. I would only find out when viewing the monthly statement.-He did not provide evidence of maintenance work on the properties which was claimed to have been performed, and then would re-bill for the same work months later. The work which was performed was extremely poor and expensive.Including, but not limited to:A replacement boiler which was fitted without a filter which then failed due to a damaged pump, within a few months, costing a further 500 pounds, and could not be claimed on the guarantee due to improper installation.Pointing to the rear of the property which was never finished.Most importantly an EICR electrical safety certificate was billed for and paid for but the work was never actually carried out. When I found this out, 6 months later after chasing, his response was that the tradesman he had contracted had not performed the work, and ?now it was my problem?, even though I had paid for it. So, he stole money from me, which was never returned.The communication is not very professional, the phone is never answered, and tenants are ignored. The company seems to have no knowledge at all, of property maintenance and problem resolution, and not a lot of interest.His communication with me in the end was extremely arrogant, rude, childish. Not professional at all.In the beginning when the business concentrated on rental properties, it provided a better service. But as the business has moved on it now seems to be trying to move towards a standard estate agency, where of course the fees are much higher for a lot less work.So, if you use this guy for property management you will end up doing most of it yourself anyway, so why pay him?

I compared a number of companies before deciding on Alex Jones Estate Agents and I'm really glad about my choice. For almost two years, Alex Jones Estate Agents have been managing my property for rental. The service I've received has impressed me immensely, in everything they have done, they have been diligent, kind and professional. The team clearly takes tremendous pride in their work, and I definitely felt valued as a customer. If you want 1st class service then look no further, you must contact Alex Jones Estate Agents.

I private rent a property through Alex jones and I can say I?ve never been more satisfied with any other letting agent. They?re very professional and always at hand when needed. Very helpful and friendly staff. I?m 1 year in with Alex Jones and can confirm if I was to ever move house I?d definitely stay with this letting agent! I?d 100% recommend them to anyone.
