I normally love buying books and visiting Waterstones but today I was left very upset by the customer service I received. The assistant at the till was rude and dismissive. She was surly and wouldn't even direct me to the general area in the store where I could find the book I was looking for. Everyone can have a bad day but you shouldn't take it out on your customers.

The staff are always very welcoming, the coffee is really good, the cakes are very fattening!

Lovely bookshop with cafe upstairs. Well laid out and clean and tidy. Lift available for wheelchair and pushchair access to upstairs books and cafe.

This is a really good Waterstones - good range and stock of the books I wanted and in a great location. It has a decent café too.
Staff were really knowledgeable and friendly which was appreciated.

I love a good book shop and Waterstones has an incredible range. The in-store coffee shop is a real plus too.

This is a 'proper' book shop, all sectioned and easy to see the subject clearly by large lettering at the top of each set of shelving. Huge selection of books - both fiction and non-fiction, adult, young teen and , notebooks, calendars, cards, gifts and nostalgic toys (especially Christmas themed).
There is also a cafe upstairs for a snack or lunch, a 'box' lift to get up and downstairs.
Staff extremely helpful. Stock levels very good.

A recent find. Loved coming here with a book recently. Nice seating areas with lamps, small reading nooks. Lovely staff member (tall lad with blonde hair) very friendly and welcoming. Will return again and again.
