Toilets are in VILE CONDITION!!! Filthy and not been cleaned in days. Happy to sell you expensive products but don?t care about the hygiene of the place

I visited the Altrincham store today for new bras, Post breast surgery. I was seen by Rachael, she was brilliant. Approachable, knowledgeable, very friendly and incredibly sensitive. I came away extremely impressed. Thank you

It was M&S for coffees, Eccles cake and chocolate croissant today at M&S Altrincham; a rather upmarket posh village. The coffees were cappuccino and splendid Cortado. The iced water on tap. The village has a delightful market in the centre where one can buy dressed crab, cooked whole lobster and my absolute total, complete favourite, in all the world, potted brown shrimps, sealed in butter. Forget caviar and lobster this, with good buttered toast, is the true food of the gods. Ambrosia. There are flower sellers, cake sellers, sellers of LP's from the 1960's, cheese sellers offering small batch local cheeses, folks with woodfired ovens for sourdough pizzas, beer and wine sellers, upmarket hand made chocolates, oriental and Jamaican food (I don't think I could face goat curry) and a fish & chip shop. I'm sure I've left out a lot of purveyors in this snapshot. It's also teeming with competitively priced coffee places, cafes and bars and as the competition is so fierce there's no downmarket offerings.

I returned an item one day over the policy date on the receipt. I didn't ask for refund I wished to buy a jacket and offered to pay the extra in exchangebut M&S wouldn't bend. So by being punitive they lost £30.how ridiculous is that they could have been a bit lenient as I thought the 8 on the receipt was a 9 as I wear glasses. Won't be shopping there again

One of the oldest British shopping chains still on the high street. Excellent clothing + food hall. Not very big as some other M&S shop, but compact ground floor and first floor. Ladies clothing and food hall on ground floor, kids, school uniform, men's and Caffe on first. The Cafe upstairs is great, customer toilets are clean and very handy. Food hall is like a mini supermarket got almost a bit of everything from fresh, frozen, bakery, flowers etc. The clothing has a good range but not all options are available in this store. M&S clothing are always quality and priced a bit higher side. Foods too superb quality but again a bit higher in price. For me, it is simple we get what we pay for. On the time when high street shops are struggling, great to see M&S store still in Altrincham. Online order collection available in this store without paying any extra is also great.

A lot packed into a small space, good selection, generally well thought-out layout except for the fact that the children's clothing is upstairs, so everyone with a stroller has to use the lift!

Went to this cafe with my two grandchildren. We have been many times and enjoyed it, the children are a little older now and don?t always fancy the children?s meals or choice of sandwiches so we did a food shop before going to the cafe and purchased a sandwich each for the girls. Afterwards we went to the cafe to eat. I had an adult meal and large latte, bought 2 cakes and drinks for the girls, when my meal was brought to our table the girls were eating the sandwiches we bought from the food shop, the waitress saw them and told the children they weren?t allowed to eat them in the cafe which upset them, plus l felt humiliated with customers thinking ld bought nothing from the cafe but taking a seat. It was awful. I would understand if l hadn?t purchased other food but l spent over £20. It wasn?t as though l had brought my own sandwiches to eat ?????????? they were bought from their shop. I think M/S have lost the customer caring and since Covid things have changed, their portions and prices have gone up considerably. We are all trying to keep our head above water with all the price increases and because l didn?t buy the children?s sandwiches from the cafe which incidentally cost way too much l was made to look like a cheapskate. Waitrose cafes are so much better and reasonably priced as they have offers on every week which gives customers a treat.

Staff are very helpful and friendly. The place itself is clean and not at all noisy in respect of customers and coffee machines. However, the menu is extremely restricted. Especially given the range of food that M&S sell in the Food area on the ground level. 4 options of uninspiring chilled sandwiches and 3-4 of toasties and only 3 options of jacket potato with not very inspiring fillings: cheese £6.00, beans £1 and an option to have both.Given the revenue M&S collects, make an effort!

M&S Cafe !!! I would Just like to bring this to your attention that your Staff is not professional!!!!I came from Canada to visit my family here and we decided to go to M&S and have breakfast,U ordered 25£ worth food and only asked for extra cup !!!!The lady ?Joe? from your staff was standing behind the cashier , cashier asked her if we can give extra cup ??? And THIS LADY SHAKED HER HEAD AND SIGHED then rudely said ?alright give her extra cup !!!Being a Canadian tourist, if i knew that you guys can?t give an extra cup , i would have paid extra for a cup???? Why showing extremely bad attitude to customers like your workers own this Cafe ????I got really disappointed with your service.Being a staff member , having pleasant personality with good manners are the basic need of each restaurant to grow well ?isn?t it?Good manners are just a way of showing other people that we have respect for them.
