If it's a Chinese dish, it's good, but the only dissatisfaction is the Milk King Bun. Both times it was called Milk King Bun, but it was really not delicious. Maybe it was ordered at night, so it was super stale. But except for the Custard Bun, everything else is pretty good.

The place was empty, it was cold and the food served was only warm. Staff didn?t clear the table from the starter when putting out the main course , when paying I was told if we paid cash I?d get 10% off . Last straw was a member of staff with a very chesty cough, clearing his throat and chest airways as walking past . Hope he?s ok, made me heave all the way back to my car up the downs ??. Nice touch ? thanks for that .

The place was empty and we received what looked like the previous days Food reheated the pork was gelatinous steak was awful too and to top it off we were told if we need anything else the staff will be all having their lunch now in the corner !!

I came with my boyfriend last night and to say I?m disappointed is an understatement. Our ticket was lost so they had to take our order again. The food took far too long to arrive that we asked for our food to be boxed up because we couldn?t wait any longer. They kept letting people in despite how chaotic and busy it was, there wasn?t a single person who didn?t complain about the wait times and stuff. However, I do appreciate the staff were doing the best they could in the situation they were in. Although we did not have a good experience, the food was good and it was definitely worth the money. I have heard a lot of good things about the restaurant from friends and people around me so to see it not matching up to my expectations is an utter shame!

I will say I have been to this place at least once every year for Chinese new year. However I went today and wow was I disappointed. We went at 20 to 7 and received our first starter at half 8. Many people were complaining about food taking far too long and yet they were still letting in more people. They were okay to remove the service charge but overall from a place I love severely let down. I hope this was a one off poor day for the team and staff as I do truly enjoy this place but this was a sad let down.

It was an extremely expensive mediocre meal. The "Banquet" consisted of tough spare ribs. quite nice mixed platter and duck with pancakes. The main courses were a mountain of onions with some prawns, and an even bigger mountain of onions with some "fillet" steak. The gift at the end was a jelly flavoured with Vimto, I think... My local chinese would have charged me around £45 for this meal for two - but here I paid a few pence short of NINETY POUNDS. The staff were pleasant enough and kept asking if everything was ok, asking if everything was ok, if everything was ok. We kept nodding.... Would I go back? Nope.

I recently won a competition for a free meal at Gonbay. I remember this place from years ago and how good it was.We visited on Saturday night and was pleased to say it hasn?t changed a bit! The staff were outstanding and so welcoming. The speed of the food to the table was exactly how I like it. Enough time between each course and not waiting forever.The food was fantastic. Chicken skewers in satay sauce and honey spare ribs to start, followed by sweet and sour chicken , chicken foo yung, egg fried rice and salt and pepper chips for mains. All had a great taste and flavour and we were well and truly stuffed at the end!Thank you all so much and we will certainly be back very soon!

Stand out service from the staff, so welcoming and happy to split the bills into smaller groups for our party celebrating a family 40th.Portion sizes very good and food very tasty.It is a little bit more expensive than I would usually pay for a meal out, but it was a special occassion birthday for a family member so definitely worth it for a treat. They also made a special dessert with sparkly candle and birthday song for the birthday boy which was lovely!Thank you for a lovely meal out!

Ordered off the set meal menu. Starters were OK, but the rest was sadly just average. Chips were stale and burnt as were my salt and pepper chicken balls....basically chicken nuggets.So disappointed ?Worst part was being charged an extra £10 to pay by card, never ever experienced this before! This was excluding the service charge!At no point either during the evening or on the website was this pointed out or we would have taken cash!The reason given was unclear!

Ordered takeaway of prawn toast, paper wrapped prawns and Singapore vermicelli. Delicious, hot, great flavours and super quick and slick service. Highly recommended and will return next time in Altrincham!

Chow mein is fair but dim sum is dry and weird taste.The boss keep blaming the staffs in front of all the customers, which is so annoying and noisy.
