Chi Yip---3 starsThe supermarket is a little overpriced compared to everywhere in Manchester (even Blue Whale) but it is sometimes convenient to have somewhere local and the freezer section is pretty good and bakery ok (when available) - no red bean buns though which is strange.Sipcha---2 starsAvoid the bubble tea from Sipcha. The photo (still sealed container) shows how much you actually get if you ask for no ice. They don't top up, they add lots of foam (essentially air) and they don't cool down the milk in a shaker like other much better places (such as ICFT, Tsujiri etc.). They did suggest it might be about 1cm from the top with no ice but it was way more, practically half a drink. Very poor, why should I get less drink just because I don't want ice? Stick to better Manchester or local alternatives.

After ordering a cup of bubble tea at Sipcha, Altrincham this afternoon, I have decided that I will not be visiting again. I have previously purchased several drinks on different occasions with only minor issue regarding the staff at this establishment, however, today both a staff member and the manager/owner of the store displayed a rudeness that will only help them when attempting to deter anyone from purchasing from them in the future.

Poor service and false advertisement. I went into this shop to get something and the price of the item was £1.55 but when I was at the till the lady said it was £1.65 so I pointed that out to her.There was no apology or anything about the faulty price on the shelf and the lady had a very ignorant attitude. Very disappointing and I will not spend my money here again.

A Great selection of groceries and ingredients to cook Chinese cuisines. Would love to see more Korean ingredients in larger size :) The frozen selections such as dim sum , dumplings and desserts are of good variety. The chilled aisles have fresh produce such as vegetables and tofu. They also have fresh roast meat and very delicious baked buns. A taste of home close to home.

Superb, although stock is limited, it does save me the long trip to Wing Yip in Ancoats when doing a small shop.

There's a Chinese supermarket on Oxford Rd near Whitworth Park which I usually go to, but staff there are really rude (don't even talk or look up from their mobile phones when serving), I've been overcharged, and it's full of students, so I'm really pleased this shop's opened up in Alty.Chi Yip so far appears to have the brands and products that I like, the staff are friendly and there's no minimum charge for card payments. Been in twice already this week.

had a little lunchtime jaunt down here and WOWSERS!lovely atmosphere and great range of stuff.the Taro ice cream was amazing! there are little taster spoons so you can ask to have a dabble before you buy too!
