I visit early morning and one member of female staff is so rude! On self service - tried to smile at her to be friendly or say hello, no chance. Not customer service for her, more like we're a nuisance for buying things!

So very disappointed, used to like Asda especially the Altrincham store,not been for a while have to rely on someone to take me , the store doesn't feel or look as clean as it did , very poorly stocked, dates on fresh produce either extremely short or even out of date as I've just discovered when I got home to eat a custard doughnut, I thought ugh this feels firm then checked the packaging was yesterday date 13/07/25..they wasn't even reduced. I hardly bought anything in the end it was sooo Expensive,I can appreciate everywhere prices have risen but my god won't be shopping in Asda .I was also ignored in the opticians department

I can't remember when I've had such a relaxing shopping experience. Shopped there today just after 4pm. Got everything I needed plus a few extra bits. Store was clean & organised. Toilets very clean. Staff polite & helpful. Cashier was exceptional (Eloouo apologies if I've mispelt your name). I'll be shopping here again. Totally different to the experiences I've had at Wythenshawe.

Exceptionally clean and tidy with very helpful staff who really help you. With roll back the prices are amazing and considerably cheaper than Tesco and Sainsburys.

I have always loved this store and my wife and I have travelled from wythenshawe to use it since it's always been better than our local Asda.
Yesterday evening 02/06/2025 at around 18.30 was an eye opener in the worst possible way.
So many people out stocking shelves without doing stock rotation or checking dates. The fruit and vegetables were a mix of slimy, wet and straight up rotten. I checked every single bag of extra special potatoes and they were all sprouted... Every single one. All the lettuce was sweaty, bagged and boxed. Some of them even looked like they were leaking a milky substance. We managed to find a singular broccoli that wasn't well beyond it's prime...
The meat fridges had barely any chicken breast and the dates were appalling.
While looking at the bread aisle we managed to find several packets of mouldy pitta breads. Some dated for the 30th of May.
As mentioned earlier I watched several staff just filling shelves without checking any of the current stock.
Considering the cost price increases in all of your products I think it's ridiculous you expect us to buy this rotten slop... It makes trying to eat healthily impossible.
Management needs to have a serious look at changing things. As a facility manager myself I can honestly say this is one of the worst ran places I've ever been to.
A serious change is needed and soon before someone gets sick from out of date produce.

All Asda food delivery drivers based at Altrincham are polite, well mannered and always carry a smile, even when it?s raining ! Well done everyone.

Terrible shop! I?ll never return! The female staff are so Rude and reluctant to help! God forbid you should interrupt them whilst they are chatting to each other! No manners!
My daughter and I were shopping there and a large mouse/rat ran across the drinks aisle in front of us, we told the security guard and he just laughed and said there were loads and they had trouble catching them!! ?
Asda used to be such a good supermarket, awful these day.

I?ve done a few home orders and each time it?s been messed up, can understand people make mistakes but every time is a joke specially this time where my order gets excepted within mins to tells me over 10 items are out of stock, I have seen each pattern so it?s obviously just laziness and then to top it of some items were still wrong. For this to happen each time and the amount of items is a joke, the reviews are terrible on here and even the just eat delivery driver advise me not to order from there again, and recommend elsewhere.
Not a person to right bad reviews but just Beyond a joke the service here

There is stocking trolleys, empty box trolleys, and milk and sugar spillages, EVERYWHERE! I shop here every Saturday since its the closest cheapest store to us. I went to ask a MOS for some help at a self checkout till which they came over, looked at me like i was a pile of dog poo, and walked back over to her hangout. As a book lover, i always go to the book isle and recently noticed that they have stopped selling Alice Oseman books which were very popular, and it also seems all the books on the shelves are straight couple books, not representing any diverse books. On the reduced shelf, everything looks like its been launched there with no care whatsoever and reduced it by like 2p. Also a few weeks ago i was using SAG and staff took ages to help with re scanning my items, i waited for about 20 minutes! Not surprised one bit about these bad reveiws! The 2 star is only because they sell my favourite crisps at a cheap price.

Don't bother using the cafe unless you are just using the toilets. Took 10 minutes to make 10 slices of dry toast
