Colombo Kitchen is my family's go-to place on any day of the week, whatever the occasion is. As a Sri Lankan who grew up on the incredible cuisine of home with cherished family recipes, this restaurant is an absolute gem and feels like home away from home. The staff are welcoming and maintain the hospitality that Sri Lankans are known for. I've come here so many times they know my order by heart! (I must recommend the veg egg fried rice with devilled prawns and paneer). Chef Sylvia the owner is a force to be reckoned with and her story of starting this place is inspirational. For those of you who prefer a less-spicy palette that is also provided and done well here via 3 spice levels of low, medium and high (I go for medium as I don't like too much spice!). Overall, love Colombo Kitchen and will keep coming back over and over!
Vegetarian options: There is a VEG logo next to every dish, and the staff are excellent at explaining the food options.

I enjoyed the food though I thought it was way overpriced for what you get. A glass of Coke for £4 and plain rice for £5 is taking the biscuit. I would probably go to a no frills Sri Lankan restaurant next time

We had an amazing experience at Colombo Kitchen! The food was absolutely delicious?each dish was bursting with authentic flavors that made the meal unforgettable. A special shoutout to Niroshan, who was incredibly friendly and attentive, making our dining experience even better. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for fantastic Sri Lankan cuisine and great service

Well, what an experience! The restaurant was very busy, and the service and attention to detail were on another level. Now, the food?it was amazing. We started off by sharing a couple of poppadoms, followed by chicken curry and cashew nut curry with fried rice and a roti. It was so tasty. You must visit this place!

Delicious, authentic Sri Lankan food in a lovely setting with very attentive and friendly staff. I've enjoyed two really lovely meals here. If I lived closer then I'd definitely be a regular!

Award winning Sri Lankan restaurant. All hype? Nothing special and too expensive.
Chicken & Mutton Kothu tasted of too much raw masala. Gravy that came with Kothu tasted like pepper water.
Appam was good, fluffy and tasty. Should have ordered some chic/mutton curry to go with it.
Fish dish, Jackfruit curry and Chic Devil were tasty. Chic Devil tasted exactly like Wagamama Firecracker sauce. Either it's the same sauce or made like that. Anyhow, tasty.
Fried rice left an unpleasant after-taste.
Even if we did not go with too much expectations, this would have been a a bit of disappointment. Next time, will try other items and not order Kothu.

Food sensational but service really does need attending to. Only being able to describe dishes as ?nice? or ?really nice? just doesn?t do the quality coming out the kitchen justice. Attentiveness needs work.
Mutton kottu sensational, had to take some home with me for another go. The hopper and accompanying sambals were also standout.
Side note, a bizarre choice of pairing a deliciously spicy mutton crepe with ketchup was baffling.
Will most definitely be back.
