This was a wonderful surprise after a long walk over Hayes Common, and ideally located opposite Hayes railway station. It is rather like stepping into somebody's front room in the 1960s, with a small bar in the corner and the beer fetched from barrels out the back. The pub serves real ales, ciders and wines produced in Kent; no food is served except nuts and crisps. Service was friendly and knowledgeable.

Friendly real ale bar serving only draught cask beers, but a great range from Kent. Nice, gentle atmosphere. Also serves Kentish, and other, wines plus small range of spirits but as name suggests it is mainly beer bar. Highly recommended. Doesn't serve food other than crisps and nuts.

In a hot day, all I like a chilled beer. Found it in front of me when I was out of station. Really relaxing atmosphere with friendly staff. He has knowledge of beer. Good range of real ales kept in good condition. Good location just in front of train station.
