I never had any issue with the staff. They are pleasant but sometimes only one cashier on the till makes it a little longer to wait for the turn hence the 4star.

Wanted to open account but they require documents addressed to Nationwide which my practice says they would charge me 35 pounds that's pretty hefty when I don't even require anything else. They did not wish to accept anything else beside my BRP like tax documents or my company letters but only my family practice letter headed letter addressed to them. I earn a bare minimum of £156 a week. Spending £35 pound for such reasons is absurd.

Opened my first account here 20 odd years ago and still have my account running.Haven?t been in-store for a while but the experience I have had has been pleasant.didn?t have to wait long to get to the counter. The lady served me quickly.It?s a small bank but they?ve always helped me out when I?ve needed help.Located in the main road near to Wembley Central station and many buses pass by as well. Parking would be an issue as you need park down the side streets.

I am a new client trying to open an account. I applied online and I had to wait several working days to receive a letter where they where supposed to tell me which documents I have to bring physically to the bank branch. When I received this letter it said that the application was accepted but it didn't clarify what I needed to finish the process, so I went to the bank in person with my passport and proof of address. The person at the branch then told me that I am VERY LIMITED to what I can use as proof of address. I am a current tenant where all my bills are included so I cannot provide any utility bills or tax council. I also don't have a British driving license. I showed him a payslip with my address in it, but it was not admitted although it is a legal document that I had already used before to move to a new address (it's an official document from the borough council, since I work in the public service). Then I showed him the letter that I had just received from Nation Wide asking me to go to the branch (which obviously confirmed my proof of address because I had received it and I was showing it to him) but it was also not admitted. Apparently I could only ask my doctor to send me an official letter or a bank statement that COULD NOT BE PRINTED in the bank but sent to my home by post and wait 5 more working days. I really do not understand what the difference is between receiving one letter or the other. A letter is a letter and if I received it then it proves that I am living there, PERIOD. If I wanted to fake it, I could also fake receiving the letter from the doctor or the letter from the bank (collect them from the house of a friend for example in the case that I was not living really there). What more proof of address do you need than an official payslip, a printed bank statement and letter than you guys sent me and that I am showing to you??? When I went to Lloyds Bank later to ask them to send me a post with the bank statement and I explained the situation of why I wanted it, they could not believe it. The worse part is that I got convinced by my sister to switch to this bank due to an offer where you can share 200 pounds between an existing account and a new account. However the link to for this offer has an expiry date after which it cannot be sent again. If I need to wait and wait and wait to open an account with ridiculous procedures and the offer expires, there is no point to really open an account with Nation Wide. I would maybe still do it because it has an interesting return rate for the first year but as soon as the year passes I am not staying in a place which such absurd policies, I will also recommend others to do the same. Summing up, I have not yet finished opening my account and I already want to quit. One last thing that bothers me is that maybe all this nonsense of delaying my proof of address could be due to me dressing casual and being a foreigner and not a British person wearing a suit. The person attending me at the counter was not very polite so I am still in doubt as to what would have happened if it was somebody else, if maybe then the proof of addresses that I presented would have been accepted. Sorry to make this message so long, I just cannot deal with nonsense and I am bit frustrated and disappointed with all this situation.

Today 2 / 07 / 2019 i gone to Wembley nation wide at 10.30 , my online banking was not working, I m new to that bank , so ask for help ,so she help me with vry rude talk having coffe with attitude as if she is the boss , with no smile, I dint had problem with having coffe but her attitude hurt me ,,, vrrry bad atttuide she is with brown skin n curly hair checkout her attitude, if dis continue, people as other bank choice, I was thinking to close my Halifax salary bank account and come with ull ,but now I donâ??t think so , Halifax customers sevice canâ??t compare with this service, customer service should be with their welcome smile our problem get solve. Really bad customer service. None of them working in a professional manner. after waiting at the help desk about 15 minutes when there are no customers inside the bank a girl came in with chewing gum in her mouth and she was seriously rude and unhelpful.
