I recently visited Barclays Bank to open my account. Best service. There's a Staff name PRATIK helped me so much. He was so kind and helpful for me. I thanks PRATIK to helping me with account opening and verifying documents. And thank you Barclays.

Had the worst experience today!Literally such an unprofessional staff, i am new to UK and wanted to open a bank account i booked an appointment and got one after 2 weeks, when i arrived there i was asked for proof of ID and proof of address which I presented, the woman sitting there had issues with the council tax bill being printed wrong! I MEAN SERIOUSLY?? She took good 15 mins to ask everyone around and asked colleagues and came back and said oh that is fine and nothing to worry about cuz the printing is wrong! I asked her she can check my tenancy agreement document if she wants to which she refused! After that she started scanning my passport and later after wasting my 45 minutes told me that *you know why you don?t apply online for bank account cuz i am not comfortable with your council tax bill printing!* i told her it is received by mail and she could have easily asked me to show my council tax account online so she would have felt comfortable! And she refused opening my account and asked to apply online and if not i should ask council people to *RESEND* me the bill and then book the appointment again! Was she for real? Seriously so unprofessional that she couldn?t just go and check the council details online to verify it!Me and my partner work full time and it?s not easy to take half days every other week to open bank account and then spend our time with unprofessional staff!. Nd honestly there were no issues in printing just that someone had put paper wrongly so the margins were thin! THATS IT!!! I cannot even comprehend the incompetent staff sitting there!The stupidest question she asked me was oh the bill doesn?t come earlier than april how do do you have it! Like HELLO MA?Am i just moved to UK, in November so obviously i had to ask them so i could pay and be on track from april!Who are these people barclays have employed?Now i keep calling for booking another appointment which i am unable to cuz no one pick calls! Definitely getting my account opened somewhere else!

Worst branch ever, I don?t know what their problem is. My husband?s phone was stolen and he had forgotten his pin so he went to the branch for help. There was some man he said he has ORDERED the pin to our address. 4 days after, we haven?t received anything. He went to the branch again. They said we CAN?T do anything about it until you get your PIN. He left this branch and went to Hammersmith branch where he works and this lovely lady said they haven?t ordered anything since last year (That?s when he opened his account). And this lady made him sit verified his address voila it was done in 5 minutes. I mean just imagine!!! How POOR can be the service here. If we remove service and just expect them to do the bare minimum, even that?s not done here. Don?t even get me started about how many payments he would have missed because of this issues.

Staff has no idea about the products and services, asking me to go online and check. I believe I was dealing with Melissa, when I called she was in such a hurry to hangup the phone and ended the call anyway.what is this customer service really?

Cashiers are not working after 3pm. Only 1 ATM machine out of 3 takes cash.. queue is long. Thought banks are making more money now with interest rate growing so could spend more money on staffing and tech support

Being an ex-banker my self - I am rating the branch and its staff. My experience with the Bank might be different and can only be gauged going forward.I had been extremely dissatisfied with the unprofessional and insulting service provided by NatWest. I chose to approach Barclays and completed an online application for a joint account opening. Received a letter after a few days which stated that we need to show original IDs at any branch. Called up the call center this morning - and they politely advised to go to nearest branch (High Street) after a month and a half. But I must say did try to assist by advising to try walking into any branch.As both had some time on us today - drove up to the Ealing Road branch. Amazing parking. Despite a huge rush at customer service too - Ms. Jayshree was welcoming and promised to try to accommodate. I understand it was a walk in so a wait was not unexpected.Thereafter was assisted by Mr. Raj Pankhania - and honestly, one of the best customer service we have had. Despite us walking in - he ensured to dedicate all efforts to complete all the account opening formalities in smoothest possible manner and that all mandates are completed and updated in system - and then even ensuring that the accounts are active before we leave + we have access to the mobile app and its activated too.Keep it up Mr. Raj and the team - you are truly an assets to this organization. I really hope that Barclays lives up to the expectations built up thanks to this warm and highly professional and comforting welcome.

I will give a minus if i can. Service is totally zero. All workers are free still not giving an appointment to open a new bank account. They always told it?s online , i tried 4 times but it says book an appointment. And they are not giving it. I told tham give me an appointment after 3 months still they said we don?t have any. Such a bad service.

One of the worst experiences. When I went to the first time, I had handed in all the materials and the stuff confirmed it. After waiting for more than a month, I went there again. The lady who sit at the innermost counter on the right side of the door was unskilled and unprofessional. When I arrived, She read my documents and said THAT about graduate, so I could not apply for a student account. I say it doesn't matter that I deal with ordinary account also can. And explained to her that I had been waiting for more than a month to graduate. She said I can't handle it today, the materials are not complete... Very disappointed about that. I don't think a bank with such a long history should have employees like that. If you had told me all this when you first went through my files, I would have had a choice. I can choose to apply for bank cards in other banks. Now the result is that you have delayed my time and refused to handle it for me. As a result, NO matter which bank I go to, I cannot handle the student account. I'm so angry! No excuse for such elementary wrongdoing!

Staff don?t really know what they are doing. Cashier closing at 14:00 for not reason whatsoever all the staff inside doing nothing.Would not recommend.
