Staff were friendly despite it being relatively busy and complex drinks to make for a number of people. Coffee and tiramisu was delicious! Was very tempted by the pistachio and chocolate mousse cake...might have to get it to take away!
Lovely atmosphere, on the highstreet but you don't notice it unless you want to people watch

I love coming to this café Nero in Sutton, the staff are great and the atmosphere is tranquil even with the busy noise of the coffee machines and conversations taking place.

Luckily for this store the minimum I can give is 1 star, because even that is generous.
I have been going to many different Caffè Nero?s across the country as I generally love the brand's selection of coffees.
Safe to say I will actively swerve this horrible store in particular. Staff here are rude, unhelpful and treat in a manner which is frankly, appalling.
One such bad experience happened earlier today. Due to religious requirements I cannot eat pork. I had a 2 for 1 on panini offer and there was only one vegetarian panini. I picked up a cheaper tostati, as it was cheaper than a panini, and hoped the staff here would be willing to accomodate. Unfortunately, the barista refused to co-operate and told me to look elsewhere. A dreadful shame, as I have enjoyed Nero's paninis before. Kind and compassionate at other branches have in my experience, regularly go out of their way to accommodate for customers to help them feel welcomed and valued, and should be highlighted and commended for their exceptional customer service. At Wallington Cafe Nero however, staff are plainly unhelpful and irritatingly jobsworth-like. Clearly the senior management at this chain have no ability to imbue a sense of joy into staff, who make it very clear they despite each waking second of their job at Wallington Cafe Nero.
Lest be known, my negative experiences in this chain are almost endless. On another occasion, I was told I could not get NHS discount on a coffee despite presenting my valid NHS smart card, which has helped me get a 10% discount before.
These examples, but to name a few, sums up the unacceptable customer service at this branch. I am no longer willing to put up with this any further. I shall never pay this horrid branch with its horrid staff ever again. Going forward I will become a regular customer at the Costa Next door.
Goodbye, toodle-doo, and farewell to Cafe Nero Wallington - you will NOT be missed!

I m a loyal cafe nero custumer , I came to have a coffee and relax as usal i was needing to use the toilet the manager refuse to hand the key untill i buy a cofee first he wanted me to queue behind 5 people and pay for my cofee first than use the toilet even tho i told him im dispread and need the toilet immediately he didnt care and refuse and distrspect me infront of people , what kind off service is this ! Visited to redeem my Octopus coupon for a milkshake, but it didn't work for some reason, and staff did not have a manager on site. They told me it had expired but clearly it had not and I showed them the expiry date. I left without my milkshake. I then visited another store in Coulsdon and the staff were in contrast super helpful and redeemed the coupon. The milkshake was superb I might add. I suggest if Cafe Nero take part in these promotions that they train their staff up to deal with the redemption of the bar code. Disappointed with Wallington branch.

Some staff could be friendlier and maybe smile a bit. Friendly service goes a long way. I had to clear the table myself of two trays of cups.
