I went in looking for calcium tablets, was a bit confused and was about to leave. Dorian (I think that?s her name) approached me before leaving, took her time to help me, and explain the different things needed in my multivitamins.

Extremely Disappointed with Misleading Delivery and Poor Communication
My family has always loved Holland & Barrett, and we?ve been loyal customers for years ? which is why this experience has been so frustrating and disappointing.
Recently, I placed a large online order worth over £400 for my sister?s birthday. I chose the ?next day delivery to store? option, as I was going to be in the area and no one would be home to accept a delivery. I placed the order early on a Thursday, expecting it to be ready for collection on Friday as advertised.
When I arrived at the store just before closing time on Friday, I was told my order hadn?t arrived yet and was still in transit ? but that it would definitely be there the next day. I returned on Saturday, only to be told again that it hadn?t arrived, but would be there on Sunday. At this point, I was frustrated by the false promises and misleading information. I made a third trip on Sunday, just to be informed that stores don?t even receive deliveries on weekends.
This means not only was the next-day delivery promise completely false, but the store staff were also misinformed ? or worse, dishonest ? about when I could expect my order. To make matters more confusing, customer service (who were actually quite helpful over the phone) told me that the order had arrived at the store, while the store insisted they didn?t have it.
Eventually, I had to change the delivery address and have the items sent to my home instead, which completely defeated the point of selecting store collection.
After spending over £400, this experience felt like a complete letdown. The poor communication, contradictory information, and unreliable service have really shaken my trust in Holland & Barrett. I expected better from a company we've supported for so long.

As a fairly loyal customer, I?m incredibly frustrated to give Holland & Barrett just one star. For several months, they've had an issue with a broken fridge. This is a food store that sells refrigerated goods, and it?s unacceptable that they?ve gone an entire summer and now autumn without repairing or replacing it. Instead, they keep the product I regularly buy in a back room, forcing me to queue every time I visit just to ask if they have it in stock.
The staff have been unhelpful, unable to provide me with a customer service number and telling me to ?Google it.? They even laughed when they claimed they couldn?t be bothered to check upstairs for my product. They?ve reported the issue to head office, but when I contacted customer service myself, I was told head office had a record of it, but it hadn't been escalated by the store and, therefore, it hadn't been fixed or replaced! Yes, that's right, they assumed the problem had gone away.
When queuing to ask if they have the product in their back room, I watch as the staff constantly harangue customers to join their rewards scheme, seemingly oblivious to others in the queue. The rewards system itself turns out to be largely worthless ? it takes weeks to earn enough points to redeem on a particular day, and those points must be used all at once, regardless of what you want to buy. It feels like Holland & Barrett has little regard for their customers.
Back to the fridge issue, it's beyond frustrating that the store would ask me, a customer, to contact head office about a problem that is their responsibility. If they can?t even manage basic maintenance like fixing a broken fridge, it speaks volumes about their processes. Given Holland & Barrett's dominance in the market and the lack of high street competition, I don?t expect anything to change. It?s clear they have little regard for their customers, making shopping there an unpleasant experience.

I had a great experience with the store manager recently. She was incredibly kind, helpful, and genuinely a good person. I had purchased the wrong tea by mistake, and she went above and beyond to assist me with the exchange. Not only did she make the process smooth, but she also took the time to search for the exact tea I was looking for. Her excellent service truly made a difference, and I appreciate her dedication and care!

I?ve been to a lot a H&B stores and my experience at the Uxbridge branch has probably been my favourite. The staff there, specifically Naila, was just incredibly charming and friendly and took her time to guide me through the specific products I was after and even some that I wouldn?t have dreamt of buying if it weren?t for her knowledge. Store layout is easy to navigate and they have some great little promotions on offer. Most definitely will be revisiting again!

Reliable and fair priced. Lovely staff! Many other stores seem to employ people who can barely keep eye contact let alone demonstrate customer service skills. Will be coming back again!
