No heating, roof tiles missing, ceiling stained, Aircon units visibly broken, and lights out so it's dark,... my god it's a shadow of its former self. I should know I was in the team that opened the store in 2001.

Their vast selection of CDs, vinyl records, DVDs, and Blu-rays never fails to impress, catering to the tastes of music and movie enthusiasts from various genres and eras.The knowledgeable and passionate staff are always willing to assist, offering recommendations and insights into the latest releases or hidden gems. Their dedication to the world of entertainment creates a welcoming atmosphere that makes browsing an enjoyable experience.One area where HMV excels is their nostalgia-inducing merchandise section. From iconic band t-shirts to collectible figurines, it's a haven for pop culture enthusiasts seeking to showcase their favorite fandoms.However, while HMV remains a staple for physical media and merchandise, it faces the challenge of competing with the rise of digital streaming and online shopping. As a result, prices for certain items can be a tad higher compared to online retailers.Nonetheless, HMV remains an important brick-and-mortar store that reminds us of the joy of physical media and the magic of discovering new music and films in person.
