Good food, warm customer service and could do with a bit of improvement.

The meal was well prepared and service was great. Would recommend to all Nigerians, if you know, you know.

A hidden gem of a restaurant serving a buffet packed with African best finger licking dishes. Not to mention the best beverages to wash it down with. As well as one of the best afro beat DJs around with his ear in the streets to make sure you're vibe is top notch no matter the weather. 10/10

Wow!!! Living in the area for 5 years and having walked by this restaurant hundreds of times... We thought we'd give it a try. The service is great...patient... professional and with a smile Don't expect rushed service and food out fast... But that's not a bad thing. We had no idea what to order... Peter provided some recommendations and what can I say.... He was spot on. My wife was amazed by the jollof rice and fried fish.. one of the best she's had. I opted for the pepper soup... Spicy.. rich and wholesome. Just delicious. They also run a buffet (I believe on weekends)... Think that we'll opt for this next time... Just to try a bit more of the menu. This place is definitely a hidden gem. Won't be the last time we visit.... Kicking ourselves for not having tried it sooner.

I enjoyed my onugbu, but my children weren't impressed with the egusi and jollof. As usual with most Naija restaurants (the only exception for me being 805 Hendon), the service was disappointingly lacklustre. I will return if I'm in the area.

Coal city is the most amazing tasting African Nigerian restaurant in London, I urge all to try this mesmerising cuisine.

Coal City offers a good menu, great service and a very nice, clean environment to enjoy your meal, at reasonable prices however, unfortunately, the food was not entirely to my taste. Unfortunately they didn't have afang or edikikon soups on the day I visited, so I opted for oha, with beef, instead. The meat had a nice texture - as though it had been in an air-fryer, but had not been seasoned, so missing flavour. The soup itself had too many small bones, from stockfish head and local fish - like a village soup - but a pain to navigate - although I enjoyed the cold Gulder.

Came here on a Sunday evening with my family. Been here a few years ago and my God has it changed. When we walked in the environment was not expected. In the middle tables was 20 men having a ?boys night? with loud music and football playing on the tv. Sitting behind us was a man who was asleep???? For food you could pay £25 for a limited buffet of rice, pounded yam stews and a selection of meats. On the main menu they had a wide variety and everything was available to order. But i must say if you are not a patient person don?t come here. We waited a total of 70 minutes for our food to arrive and it wasn?t even busy!! But if we ignore all of this the food was really good and i would recommend to try if u don?t mind loud places and a ridiculous waiting time. And finally i cant leave out how kind the owner was, he was very helpful and accommodating 10/10 for him.
