Been here loads of times with no problems, but last night was terrible.
So me and the Mrs always sit in the bar area to eat as its less busy. When we Got there the bar area had one couple in it and the restraunt side fairly busy.
Was told by the bar staff that we could not eat or be served in this area as the area had been suspended? I have never heard of this before? He said wait at the door at restraunt side and wait to be seated. No problem was abit annoying but we're now standing there waiting for a good 5 minutes and no-one had come over to us. Then a lady instead of acknowledging us decided to start a order with the table right in front of us, which we thought was so rude ( all she had to do is say is bare with me )
It's so unfortunate there must of been staff changes as its definitely put me of going back. May just have to go harvester in future.

Me and my partner came for food, steak was spot on annd burger was very nice! Had Anna as our server and she was brilliant. All round very good!

We went for dinner on christmas eve, food was beyond terrible... half the menu was out of stock, and I didn't get notified of this until we were about to order. Only two members of staff running both floors, so you can imagine the wait ordered potatoe skins what came out was cold CHIPS with cheese on it. I was told this is their version ? I'm glad it's closing down. No loss there

Lovely staff. Good food. It's a staple, Beefeater, you know you'll get a decent standard of service and a great value steak. Decor here is a bit tired.

Food was delicious, the Ribeye was cooked to perfection and the Merlot was beautiful. Anna was very kind and attentive and the service was very quickly :) . We will come back

Absolutely amazing food. Polite, friendly staff including Anna who was phenomenal. Thank you so much for the service Anna and of course the cooks for the best food I?ve honestly ever had! Will definitely be coming again.

My friends fillet steak was so tough she had trouble cutting it. After complaining, this was removed from the bill. There were no pigs in blankets, and there was a lack of serving staff, so service was not prompt. I chose the sticky toffee pudding and found no toffee flavour in the sauce. It was tasteless. We've been there before, but this was the worst meal we've had. We will not be returning

Went last night with a group of friends. We had to wait about ten minutes in the lobby before someone came to seat us. It turned out some staff were ill and they only had 3 waiting tables- not enough for a place this size. However Anna (waitress) apologised for the delays but said she'd do her best. She was excellent, despite having had to cope with a long shift with only 2 others, and prepare all desserts (apparently this isn't the job of the kitchen staff). The food did not disappoint either.
