I ordered a BBQ chicken wrap and was absolutely horrified to find a dead bug inside. As soon as I unwrapped it, there was a horrible smell that instantly made me feel sick ? like something had gone off. I was already hesitant, but when I bit into it and noticed something strange, I opened it up and found the bug. I can?t even explain how disgusted I was.
This is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about hygiene and food safety. I lost my appetite immediately and honestly feel sick just thinking about it. I won?t be ordering from here again and would strongly advise others to think twice.

Ordered my food on Uber Eats and honestly, what was that! It was awful.
Wings were stale and hard looks like it was left over. There were black bits in the chicken.
The burger was horrible, chicken was stale, bread was stale.
Chips were hard and stale
Al the food tasted like it was left over.
I don't usually review restaurants or food spots but this was so bad.
I've never eaten a meal from chicken cottage like this.

Quality control had defo gone down the drain...i had a chicken burger and been burping all night and the chips they gave me was refried and old.. was my go to place i dont like to leave bad reviews usually bu5 this place is defo sinking when it comes to food standards!

I had an unpleasant experience at this place in thorntonheath high street on 26/4/25 at 15.00.
The staff who served my food was extremely loud when calling and tapped on thr table to announce that the food was ready, shouted rather than speaking politely. He did not have a name badge on him. When i mentioned it, he claimed he had called several times and offered no apology. He also spoke in a language I did not understand, which felt dismissive and unprofessional. The experience made me feel uncomfortable and i hope the management looks into training their staff on customer service. It was very intimidating. I saw this staff being rude to the customer before me as well. All she asked was to leave the door open, because it was a hot weather. He sarcastically said something in own language that indicated that he does not like the door open, he wants it the way he likes.
I wanted to make it clear that i very well understand my consumer rights, and i felt i was disrespected in front of 4 other customers and another coleage of his, who later apologized for this situation. Such employees, spoil the atmosphere and the brand name you shop has so far, and the shop might loose its regular customers.
I hope the shop takes the necessary action againd this situation and make sure that this doesnt happen to any other customer. It is necessary for the management to ensure that all customers are treated equally and respectfully.
