It has been a couple of weeks since I had a full head balayage, cut and blow dry with Sian and I am still over the moon with it! Sian listened to exactly what I wanted, but also put forth her ideas, whilst making sure I was completely aware and comfortable during the whole process. I have been searching for a hairdresser I can trust for a long time so I highly recommend Sian.

Brilliant team, Sian is the BEST, super nice and fantastic with creating bright colour hair. Been having it done here the past few months and every time has been amazing. My boyfriend got his hair cut by Tolga who made it such a relaxing time he fell asleep in the chair lol. Looked absolutely brilliant and really fixed my dodgy bedroom cut I did on him from a few months ago. 10/10

Today was my third visit to Rush Kingston. I had my hair done by an amazing Sian. She's absolutely incredible! Her whole persona and work ethic are quintessential. She always welcomes me with a big smile and I feel right at home. Her and her entire team work so hard and make sure that the client needs are met in the best possible way. My new hair colour is beautiful!
I feel like a million dollars ?!

I just left the salon without having my hair done. I booked weeks ago for a full head tint, cut, style & blow dry. I received a call in Friday to move the appointment from 3pm to a 3:45pm & I agreed. At about 2:45pm today I was asked to reschedule or come in at 6pm. I agreed to 5pm as 6pm was too late. I then got to Kingston and received a call at about 4:20pm to say I had to reschedule to another day as they were too busy. I advised I was already in town for the appointment so I was asked to come in. The stylist then told me I needed highlights rather than a tint (which I usually have). I was happy to take his advice but then I was asked to reschedule as due to the need now for highlights they couldn?t fit me in. Frustrating as there is a sign outside saying walk in welcome. How can Rush welcome walk ins when you don?t honour appointments? I am very upset as really needed my hair done and I only have weekends free. I left feeling humiliated by the experience. They obviously just didn?t want me as a client.

Such an amazing vibe and atmosphere.
I was looked after by Sian last Saturday and she was absolutely brilliant. Was willing to hear my ideas for what I wanted and then also brought in her own professional thoughts on what the outcome would be. My hair came out exactly the way I wanted it and Ive been getting compliments on it all week. Everyone there is so lovely it was a wonderful experience. xx

Sian cut and styled my hair for me this evening. She was so professional and informative. Took the time to discuss exactly what I wanted and offered suggestions and advice. Sian checked again before she started cutting that I was happy with what we had discussed. She explained the products she was using and also took the time to answer my many questions on colouring my hair at a future appointment. Sian took the time to explain the colouring process and what she would recommend based on what I was hoping to achieve. She is very knowledgeable. I am delighted with how she has styled my hair and will be booking for a colour very soon as she made sure to do a patch test before I left.

I booked in for a full head permanent colour, cut and blow dry. When I arrived, the stylist smelt so strong of cigarette smoke on his hands touching all around my face, and his clothes really strong also. He got the colour chart out and I chose a dark brown as I wanted my roots to go and have a richer brown as I've had previously. He went away to mix the colour which came back bright yellow. Not questioning him but I've never had a colour like that on my hair when I've asked for brown. When applying it was being slopped all over the gown and trolley and he was just slapping it on my hair with no care. He did the roots and then took me to the basin and put water through my hair and mixed root colour with the rest of my hair.
I was sent back to the chair for 10 minutes for it to take, taken back to the basin where he was rushing and pulling on my hair, trying to get the colour off my skin with a dry towel. I went back to the chair and as soon as he took the towel off, we both looked shocked at how bright orange/yellow my roots where, he said don't worry it will dry different. He was very wrong; the colour was awful and I wanted to cry.
I said I'd had it done here before by the lady working on someone else behind me and the colour was a lovely brown no issues. He proceeded to make up a darker colour and be really rough sectioning my hair, tugging on it as he wasn't happy id said I wasn't happy with the colour. I was all over the gown again, on my hands, slopped ALL over my face, fell in my eyebrow. The colour was left on for ages on my roots but didn't put the colour through my ends. He had to take me back to the basin as he hadn't washed the shampoo properly, not a relaxing experience at all. He used a sharp metal comb when cutting my hair what was pulling hurting my head. It was so uncomfortable. When the colour was on, he went off for a cigarette and came back smelling and used so much aftershave to cover it up it was vile!
I was in there much longer than I needed to be resulting in extra parking charges. I had a wedding the day after and was left with dark hair dye on my face. I was so embarrassed how I'd been left. I just wanted to get out of the salon fast I felt uncomfortable and intimidated.
As it was on the gown it went through onto my jump which is now ruined, and my ears were left with colour all over when I looked in the mirror in the car.
Over £100 wasted on the worst hair experience. I didn't have a full head of colour; I didn't have a blow dry it was just a dry with no style. I couldn't say anything else to him as he was clearly irritated by me asking for the colour I chose on the chart. I will not ever be returning to the salon again. A lovely treat for a wedding is now a complete disaster!
The email reply I got from the salon said I could get a complimentary treatment next time I go in and that was the solution for this horrendous experience. I have emailed customer care but no reply. Let's see if they take this seriously.
