Disappointing on portion sizes - we left the restaurant wondering if in fact we were still hungry.
I hadn't eaten at a Pizza Express for at least a decade and convinced my husband we should give it a whirl. I used to enjoy it and wanted to try it again - this was an itch I needed to scratch.
I ordered what I thought was a Buddha Bowl. This dish has found its way onto many menus now and is usually a nourishing, satisfying and filling collection of nuts, pulses, grains and colourful veg. Sadly, I got what felt like a half portion buddha bowl. There was plenty of mindful chewing going on to make sure I was aware of every morsel!
On more careful reading the menu does have the Buddha Bowl in the Salad section with a calorie estimate beside it so perhaps I should have expected it to be light on substance. On the other hand, salads can be satisfying, nourishing, delicious and filling - choosing to eat salad ought not to leave one hungry.
My husband's pizza was lightly cooked, which I accept some people prefer, but when a lightly cooked pizza is served onto a cold ceramic plate it starts to cool very quickly. The pizza did not feel hot when it arrived at our table.
There is no mention of pizza size on the menu - or none we could see. Had we known the standard pizza size was so small we would have ordered a larger size.
As I said up top we left the restaurant wondering if we were still hungry and discussing what we had at home to fill the gap.
A disappointing experience - but that itch has been well and truly scratched!

the staff was so friendly, and have greatly orchestrated birthday parties for children, the pizza making was delicious and great, the entertainment perfect by marcel who led it. thank you so much for this wonderful day

Fantastic food & service. Staff members were all very friendly and attentive. Dynamite dough balls to start, lovely sauce to accompany them, well worth a go. Chicken Italiano calzone was great, lots of gooey filling, and the prawn peperonata was super. Well worth a visit! Marvellous. Thank you all, the entire team! :o)

The lovely Oksana was so kind and attentive to me and my friend. We got chatting and turns out she was from Ukraine, a neighbouring city to my friend. She is a credit to the team in teddington and we can?t wait to see her soon!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Pizza Express Teddington, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The ambiance was warm and inviting, setting the perfect tone for an evening of delicious food and great conversation.What truly made the night memorable was our waiter, Mo. From the moment we were seated, Mo's friendly and attentive service stood out. He greeted us with a warm smile and was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, offering excellent recommendations that catered to our diverse tastes.The food was simply exquisite. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. It was evident that great care was taken in the preparation of every course, and the quality of the ingredients shone through.Mo ensured our glasses were never empty and that we had everything we needed throughout the meal. His genuine enthusiasm for the restaurant and its offerings was infectious, making the dining experience even more enjoyable.I highly recommend Pizza Express Teddington to anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience. And if you're lucky enough to have Mo as your waiter, you're in for a real treat. We'll definitely be returning soon!
