Visited Halfords recently for the installation of two new front tires and to address a punctured rear tire purchased from them four weeks ago. Shockingly, their workmanship was subpar as one of the new tires was mounted in the wrong direction. To add to the frustration, they refused to repair the punctured rear tire. Eventually sought help from my local shop to rectify the situation. This experience has left me deeply dissatisfied, and I have no intention of returning as a customerService: Tires

I had my car Mot and service here this week. Everything was fine and I was kept updated when to drop in and collect. Very friendly.Only slight complaint, I noticed today that they have sprayed some lubricant on the hinges of all the doors. That?s great, but it?s gone abit all over the place and I?ve had to wipe some off the paint work around the hinges.

I has to wait two weeks for an appointment for AirCon and a slow puncture, every date I could do, they were either booked or had no "Air Con Expert" that day. Finally got an appt for today, arrived to find out that the Air Con machine is broken, then they checked the system and said I was only booked for a slow puncture anyway and argued with me about my booking... the very reason I had to wait two weeks was for the so called "Air Con Expert". Terrible service. Took my keys back and left. AVOID.

The beautiful angels at Halfords (Imran and Abbs) really helped me out when my brakes were in a really bad way. Even though they were short staffed and fully booked, they found the time to be kind and to fix up my Polo. Cannot emphasise how grateful I am to these guys: 10/10 would recommend.

Took my car in for its MOT today. Was served by Abs, who was so lovely and friendly! He completed my MOT after 40 mins of drop off. Fitted new wiper blades within 1 hour, and had collected them from elsewhere as they had none in stock. Really happy with their service, and everyone on the reception was really welcoming! I recently had a disappointing experience with Halfords in Sydenham when I brought my car in for a suspension check. The manager, Abs, proved to be extremely unhelpful and showed a lack of care and concern throughout the entire process. I would strongly advise against visiting this location, as they failed to take my concerns seriously.From the moment I arrived, it was evident that Abs was not invested in providing quality customer service. The initial diagnosis of my suspension issue was incorrect not once, but twice, leading to unnecessary expenses on my part. Despite paying £700 to have the issue resolved, the problem persisted and my car was not properly fixed.When I returned to the store for a second time to address the ongoing suspension issue, I was met with a dismissive and negative attitude from Abs. Rather than acknowledging their previous mistakes, Abs seemed uninterested in rectifying the situation and failed to take my concerns seriously. Their lack of professionalism and unwillingness to provide adequate support was deeply disappointing.To further compound the issue, when I called the store a few weeks ago to schedule another suspension check, Abs displayed the same negative and dismissive attitude. This behaviour is simply unacceptable and does not align with the level of service one would expect from a reputable automotive establishment. I ended up not going, and booked it in with Halfords in Beckenham instead, who were a lot more kind and helpful.In light of my experience, I strongly advise against choosing Halfords in Sydenham. The unhelpful and apathetic attitude displayed by Abs, the manager, reflects a lack of commitment to customer satisfaction and the inability to address and resolve issues effectively. Don't get your MOT done here. It ends up being an incompetent and extortionate service despite all the 'offers' they have on the website. They're utter time wasters and tried charging me £500 for 'repairs' that cost £35 elsewhere. What's more I watched the repairs being done and when I went back for the retest was told there was a new issue and tried to blame the mechanic where it hadn't even been touched by them?! Ludicrous place, it seems they must make up issues for commission with this sort of price gouging which is completely unethical given the current cost of living crisis with people struggling to make ends meet. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Did not check my car properly 2 times! just gave me false report so I ended up driving with discs bellow the minimum and loud grinding, until 3rd time when they finally said it's bellow minimum and needs changing. Clearly it needed changing long before !Services: Brakes

Muhammad at front desk was lovely, honest and hardworking guy. Got 4 tyrea changed. Nice work done but could improve if they focus more on tidy up after work as they left tyre key inside the car and tyre changing gears in trunk. But overall.. Thumbs up.Service: Tires

I had the best experience, thank you so much Abbs!I had a new set of wheels and tyres fitted today, just a few hrs after I dropped off the car which was such a nice surprise (booking was for a later date)!I'm emotionally attached to my car and Abbs did a great job, he kept me updated with the progress, answered all my questions, even checked the lights and wipers! Driving my car home with the new tyres and wheels was beautiful!I honestly can't recommend Abbs enough, I hope I only have to see him for MOTs, but he is now definitely my 'go-to' for my car!Thank you!Services: Wheel alignment

Dropped car off at 815 for 830 service/ MOT appointment, first car to arrive. I asked for an estimate as its always been done in 3 hours or less, and was told ?by 1700? by unhelpful receptionist. As Im a long walk from home, I went to a local gym, called 3 hours later, they put me on hold then hung up. I visited 30 mins later, I could see car inside with only two other vehicles and asked for an update, and received the same 1700 and the receptionist was unhelpful and when I said I am 40 mins from home so I just want to know whether I should go home or not. Called customer services, very nice but still no car, nearly five hours. I wont use Halfords again if they cant respect an 830 first appointment that was booked as I had other things to do today.Update, car service took just over 5 hours, and at the end I was told I was the lucky one whose MOT was done (passed) as others were cancelled due to staff shortages. Its been same excuse for three years.
