Two Mondays ago I brought into the shop a donation which contained among others two used (clean) pair of tights. I have been donating to different charities for years and I am aware that they can take some items which are unsellable and rag them, which in turn they sell and get money. However, the assistant manager was very unhappy about the tights and did not want to take them. I enquired whether they do not accept rags any longer but the reply I was given was that they do not take tights and had a rude and unwelcoming attitude. Today I went to another charity near them and they were more than happy to accept rags. There seems to be a lack of basic customer care skills for an assistant manager in the Cancer research store, pity for a charity.

Good range of items, prices a little expensive but some good bargains in there

My wife always seems to find bargains here. A nice pair of earrings, or a high quality dress/shirt. My only reservation is that someone (whoever you are - you wasted 20 minutes of my writing time, but got me an extra 2000 steps in) put the closing time as 17:30 on Sunday, so I lugged around 2 full bags of donations, only to have to carry them home. That's not the shop's fault though! Good prices, friendly enough staff, convenient location.

Good quality items and large stock. Great place to find hidden gems. They also accept Duke of Edinburgh volunteers, for anyone interested in that.
