We opted for the tasting menu at lunch which offered a variety of beautifully presented dishes of authentic French cooking. Standout dishes were the squash veloute, hake and the passion fruit tarte. The restaurant had a buzzing atmosphere and service was perfect.

Having been a regular at TFT for 23 years I have never had a bad meal here. The food is exquisite and the staff exemplary on every level. Surely the best restaurant in SW London and beyond. A joy to go there. Faultless.

My husband and I visited for our anniversary and everything was just incredible. We were greeted warmly and sat at our table where found personalised menus wishing us a happy anniversary, which was such a nice touch. We are both pescatarian, so were going to order from the regular dinner menu, but the tasting menu looked amazing so asked if it would be possible to do this without meat. "Of course!" was the response, so we enjoyed the tasting menu with wine pairing adapted for pescis. It was spectacular. Every single course was perfect - from the flavours to the presentation, it was faultless. The wine pairings were also incredible - we tried things that we wouldn't usually, and they complimented the food perfectly. An absolute gem of a restaurant, we already can't wait for our next visit :)

A wonderful meal and fabulous service. We booked to celebrate a birthday and were not disappointed. Seasonal dishes beautifully presented and such great value.
Dietary restrictions: One of the diners is a coeliac and the choice and support they gave was wonderful. They have great knowledge of the condition. They made homemade GF rye toasted bread for him.

The French Table is deserved of a Michelin Star. I have eaten with my family twice and it never fails to provide the most exciting menu and amazingly presented food with the most delicious flavours.
My second visit to celebrate the birthdays of my twins was just amazing. Personalised menus with the names of my children, celebration table setup and food to die for.
This restaurant is one of the most exciting restaurants to have opened in years. Kudos to the fantastic chefs whose creative and imaginative food is just so amazing with every bite. Let?s also not forget the exemplary and amazing staff who waited to your every need with such desire, politeness and joy.
The French Restaurant, Surbiton - take the opportunity to be blown away in a wonderful setting. Don?t take my word for it, just go there and then dare to tell me I?m wrong.
