Cheap and cheerful - food is good, service is as expected from a wetherspoons, but the drinks are very well priced - 1.70 for the cheapest pint is a good deal! Can get quite busy though, even during the weekdays

I was unaware of this beautiful early 20th century building for a long time, and only discovered that Surbiton had a Wetherspoons on YouTube. Inside it is a long hall, with a balcony at the end. There are nice seats next to the windows at the front, but it gets darker as you get to the end of the building. Lovely decoration.
Food is standard Wetherspoons. Beer selection is pretty good. Prices are very reasonable.

Lovely converted public hall, sadly in need of a refurb. Usual Wetherspoon food and drink at reasonable prices. Lots of references to local history and cinema ephemera

This has become my local. Why pay inflated prices for drink when they have an excellent selection of craft ales. Ordered the fish and chips for lunch. When it arrived I was immediately drawn to the size of the portion of chips. An anorexic would have complained at the portion size! A few kind words in the assistant managers ear and a generous serving was provided, albeit somewhat begrudgingly. It was hot and edible, but not up to the usual high standard. On collection of my plate, there was no enquiry as to ? how was your food, sir?? I felt compelled, to say I was disappointed. To his credit he asked if I would like a complimentary sweet on the house? Bloody right, and it was excellent. Fudge cake and ice cream.
Only downside was, I went to the loo leaving an almost full pint of forty niner craft ale. When I returned nowhere to be seen! Maybe? I had made the wrong impression and they were keen for me to leave? Not so, with a fresh pint, courtesy of Witherspoons, the assistant manager explained.? Don?t leave your pint unattended as it will be removed. Cover the top with a magazine, this will let us know it is still live.? The only magazine in sight was a copy of Witherspoons own, god knows how many times this has been fingered and poured over.On my next visit I will bring a copy of Playboy, or Penthouse, although there is a very strong likelihood it will have been ? adopted? before my return, by a lonesome regular, in an attempt to evoke some fond memories of a former sweetheart, and my pint no where to be seen!

I love going here until I was told i wasn't allowed my support dog in with me. I used to go several times a week with my support dog until one staff member refused us as I didn't have a collar on on recognised (I'm not blind)
The rest of the staff are lovely!
Great for a cheap pint as you can see by all the red roses everywhere at 9 AM
One staff member needs retraining in disabilities apart from that no complaints
