I just visited Papa John?s in Surbiton, and the service was extremely poor. No one informed us that our order had been canceled?we were left waiting outside for a long time. When we finally went back to ask about our second order (after already eating half of the first pizza), a female staff member?possibly an intern?suddenly came over and told us the order had been canceled.
My dad and I were really upset, not only because we hadn?t received any refund yet, but also because of her attitude. She glanced us up and down in a disrespectful way, suddenly snatched our receipt, and mumbled something I couldn?t even understand. Even after we eventually got the refund (much later) and paid again, she continued to ignore us and kept giving us those looks, while another male staff member politely thanked us for coming back.
If this kind of behavior continues, Papa John?s Surbiton will lose a lot of customers. Please address this issue and remind staff to treat customers with respect.

It's Disgusting. I went for an order today at noon and I couldn't believe the disrespect I witnessed! The employee working there had the audacity to be rude to a customer right in front of me. It was appalling to see someone with such a lack of kindness and basic understanding of how to treat people. How on earth does someone like that end up in customer service? As a loyal customer of Papaj's, I am absolutely disgusted by this behavior and expect better from the staff.

Decent service. The staff can be more friendly to patrons waiting to collect their pizza. The pizzas have been very good thankfully.

Very disappointed I ordered 3 large pizzas, over an hour passed no sign, I called the restaurant they said they don't have any drivers avaliable I said I was willing to wait. Another 20 minutes no updates.. called back and they say they're cancelling the order and that the food would be refunded in 3 days. Just not good enough this interaction has lead me to leave my first ever review and sadly it was a bad one.

Here goes my first ever 1 star papa John's review. I never thought I'd write one of these for papa John's but here it is.
Ordered my 2 XXL pizzas via the app, which incorrectly stated I'd ordered large when tracking. So I called up the store who were quick to answer and confirm if ordered 2 XXL pizzas.
Pizzas were supposedly ready in 20 minutes and out for delivery. So far so good.
I ordered the pizzas to be delivered to the safari hotel in Chessington world of adventures. I even edited the delivery address within the app. There are various signs for the Chessington world of adventures hotels and yet the delivery driver went to the wrong place twice before delivering to the correct place. There were various phonecalls between us which were the driver stating he was at the delivery address and me calling back when I went downstairs to see he wasn't there.
This resulted in cold pizza. The driver didn't even have the pizzas in one of those hot bags to keep them hot.
So I called up the branch to say I've got cold pizzas, what do they say? There's nothing we can do contact the head office customer services to complain. This is absolutely terrible customer services. The pizza standard has always been of you get delivered cold pizza you either get a refund or freshly made hot pizza delivered straight away and probably a refund anyway. Absolute disgrace.
I've also noticed that there were not much toppings on the pizza I had half and half with mexican on one half and chicken, mushroom and sweetcorn on the other. If I had thought about it I worked have taken a photo. There were slices without any toppings, ones without beef, ones without all 3 toppings of the chicken, mushroom and sweetcorn.
Honestly the worst service I've ever had from Papa John's.

Worst ever experience with papa johns. We ordered two pizza worth £30 and they sent only one pizza thats also different order. And when we called them and complained they ask us to deal with delivery guy. It happened in midnight and we had to sleep without food even though we paid upfront.
Will not recommend this chain any day. Worst customer service and managers response as well.:(

Everything was ready on time and the pizzas were delicious?the staff even helped me carry them to the car?great service..I?ll definitely use them again.Dietary restrictions: I ordered a gluten free pizza which was great
