I am a regular and shop here all the time. I love the shop, but today 23 Dec 23 checked out at 12:20 had the worst experience with the cashier ?Sam? young guy wearing a Christmas hat. He was very slow chatting and chatting to a customer before me and made me wait for long! Then when it was my turn he kept making offensive comments about my weight; larger shopper than most, very heavy and when he gave me the receipt he called me ? huge? with a smirk on his face! I found him very rude and unprofessional. He was very odd as he kept talking to himself while passing me the items also when I scanned my sparks card he asked me ?do you want your receipt?? I said yes but I haven?t paid yet! He thought I already paid with my sparks card! I don?t think this guy should be on the front representing M&S to your customers with this unprofessional and rude attitude! The guy is out of it!

The worst customer service ever, David C (the food manager) was very rude, arrogant, and unprofessional.I bought the wrong chocolate box at M&S Tolworth and went back to return it in less than 30 minutes of buying it (28 August, 1:30pm), I was told by a very polite lady at the desk she needs to check with the food manager if we can refund the food item.A few minutes later she came back and I saw David behind her, he spoke to me very aggressively that they cannot refund this as its against their policy.I said that?s fine I will take this item, and all I asked was if he can tell me where I can find this policy online, He said look at up yourself I don?t have time for this. There was no need for him to raise his voice and to be aggressive towards me, he would not even let me speak or answer any question I tried to ask, he started walking away from me while I was trying to ask a question and when I tried to ask him for his name, he shouted his name from the other side of the hall.David spoke to me (insulted me) for a minute or so and I was in shock how rude he was, he is very unprofessional, dismissive, and arrogant. His own colleague was apologising for his rude and unacceptable behaviour.David should not work in customer service specially not for Marks and Spenser which is known for good customer service. The way I was insulted (over a box of chocolate) by David I won?t be going back to this store again and I will make sure no one from my family or friends go this to store again.

M & S Food is always a nice place to shop for all your food needs however this store had clothing on offer as well. Unfortunately, only women's clothing. I have no idea how stocking just women's clothing and not men's as well makes any sense. Really disappointed as I was looking to buy a piece of clothing as an emergency but obviously had no luck. Ridiculous.

M&S manage to maintain a good selection of food & wine offerings. Great Bakery dept. Must compliment them on the new unpackaged/ loose fresh fruit & vegetables system although take a little longer to shop it save on plastics. Plus the installation of containers for plastics. (WELL-DONE ) Staff are always helpful. My only problem is sometimes out of stock levels, especially on wines, no excuse should get projections of take up correct. Good paring available.STOP PRESS March 17th 20, things were mad today because of the Coronavirus, some shelves were empty. Not because no stock available mainly because of crazy buying. Plenty of wine.Let?s hope for better times.

Bought a chicken caesar baguette, miserable filling, wouldn't have covered half of it. Shame on M&S for charging almost five pounds!

Disgusted that only a couple of tills are ever open and a huge bank of self checkouts akin to Asda et al have appeared.Card only, ready for the CBDC hell we are headed towards. The clientele here are generally retired or elderly, and with loneliness and isolation at an all time high, the human contact they get during their trip to the shops is vital and now in jeopardy. This is not just food, this is do it yourself food. This is not the M&S I grew up with. No longer worth the premium, just another supermarket but with tastier food.

In town for work. Went out for a quick bite, on my way back to the hotel saw this was open. Popped in thinking I'll grab myself something for breakfast, maybe some dessert and an alcohol free beer if they one that takes my fancy (to clarify, not some problems drunk rolling in right before closing time).Just found an individual trifle and rather than making an announcement or politely telling people as there weren't many customers; the staff started turning off lights around me. I thought, "well that's a bit rude".Started looking for the till when a member of staff said "bro! You need to get to the till before they stop working ".No thanks I'd rather be hungry. Rude.

It's an M&S with a good selection of food and a free car park.Update 10/22. The new self checkouts look nice and work well with Barcodes. If you buy loose items, you need to look for the tiny lookup item tab. This is really unintuitive.

No toilets.Wasn't allowed to return my clothes here as apparently they did not stock them. And was encouraged to go to another store. Even though I was told I could return them at any local store. Not really impressed tbh.Great selection of foods though.

I had the WORST customer service experience at this M&S in Tolworth on Ewell Road. For some reason, I kept getting shocked (electrical static) when I reached for things on the shelves. It happened four times :( Two female employees kindly explained that it could be because of static and it?s happened to them. I appreciated their empathy so I continued shopping, but when it happened the fourth time I turned to the nearest employees, Michael and Cameron, who told me that they?ve never heard of this before, but it could have something to do with my shirt or my shoes being a conductor for electricity. I wore boots with rubber soles, so I?m not sure how this could have been the case. However, I won?t pretend to be an expert on electrical current or conductors. I told them that it could be worth looking into because it?s happened to me several times today and even during a previous store visit, it?s happened to other employees and what if it happens to someone with a pacemaker? They tried to get me to touch the shelf again to ?prove? that I was feeling static, and told me that the previous employees only told me they?ve felt the shock of the shelves only to seem relatable to me, because they have never heard of it before. Of course, I refused to touch the shelf. Although I was clearly in distress they found it pretty funny, and when I told one of them it wasn?t a joke he said ?to me it is.? In summary, Michael and Cameron were rude, arrogant and dismissive. Instead of being professional they acted like children on a playground. I left the conversation feeling angry and sad. I will never spend my money in this store again. It?s not worth the anxiety. I?ve worked in customer service before and I could never have imagined talking to or treating a customer the way I was treated yesterday.
