We have visited this restaurant multiple times whenever we come to Surbiton to see our family, as the food is consistently delicious.
However, our latest visit was less welcoming. We had a light lunch at home, so we decided to share just one starter and a main.
When the owner brought our tap water, he expressed disapproval, highlighting that he did not appreciate us splitting one main course because he doesn?t charge service fee. While setting down the glasses, he repeated, ? this is table service? , creating an awkward atmosphere. We would have gladly ordered more food or pay a service fee is such a policy has been explained earlier, but instead, we felt chastised for something we did not realize was an issue.
We ended up a voluntary tip, yet the entire experience made us question whether we should return.

Big family birthday dinner. Friendly hosts, excellent food, big servings. Very good value. Highly recommended.

Very welcoming. You have no pressure to rush or anything. Brilliant service. The man in there was amazing and made our experience even better. The food was out of this world. We had a spaghetti bolognaise and A lasagne. The lasange was absolutely beautiful, Struggled to finish it though. You could even share the lasagne as it was a big portion. Also very reasonably priced. Easy to find too.

I took my oldest son {30}
with his new girlfriend here & we all had a wonderful evening.
Food was sublime, the Boss Man was so helpful & hospitable.
Nothing is ever too much effort.
You can go in for a lovely Italian coffee if you aren't feeling hungry.
I will be taking my other son next month ?

This is our go to place to eat in Surbiton. Food is always beautiful, service is amazing and there steak chips and peppercorn sauce is to die for.
My granddaughter who is 6 absolutely loves this place and the owners always make her feel special and spoil her rotten.
Definately recommend this place for lunch or dinner xx
