Had an awful experience at the Selco Kingsbury branch today. I tried to return items well within the 28-day returns policy, only to be told by Chetan at customer service that I?d need to pay a £25 delivery fee. When I asked where this was stated in the returns policy, he said it wasn?t ? because ?it?s not a returns charge, it?s a delivery charge,? which made no sense.
I double-checked online and found no mention of this charge for returning items and he even agreed it's not on there!
To make matters worse, both Chetan and the branch manager (Meji, I believe) were extremely rude and dismissive. Meji even turned to Chetan and said, ?Charge them the restocking fee, it?ll be more? ? clearly out of spite.
This isn?t the first time I?ve had a bad interaction with Meji. After reading other reviews, it?s clear I?m not the only one who has experienced impolite and unprofessional behaviour at this branch.
Totally unacceptable customer service and a complete disregard for consumer rights. Selco seriously needs to look into how their staff treat paying customers.
UPDATE: I went to the Cricklewood branch instead ? the staff there were polite, helpful, and processed the return without any fuss or questions. No delivery charges, no restocking threats, just great customer service. It really makes me wonder whether Kingsbury are trying to exploit customers into paying more.
I also noticed that Cricklewood honours trade member discounts, whereas Kingsbury doesn?t. Safe to say, I won?t be returning to the Kingsbury branch ? go to Cricklewood instead if you want fair, respectful treatment.

Well as a delivery driver it a joke waiting for over an hour outside on double yellows isn't good at all. Very poor indeed. I would say it's got to be the worst welcome going
