We visited on Friday evening on spur of the moment. It was extremely busy, but we managed to get a table. I had the standard American hot. Service was good and very surprised that the food was served so quickly and it was hot. When we left, they were queuing out the door.

Family birthday. 10 people. PExp South Woodford. Firstly, the food is tasty and pretty good quality for pizzas. Staff were ok although a bit slow in coming to the table. Nothing to complain about on that front. However. It is just so expensive! Dough ball and garlic cheesy bread starters, 2 non alcoholic beers and a large pizza came to £32 a head. I realise that it is not cheap to eat out these days. Everywhere you go now it feels like prices have ramped up. But I basically had bread with toppings and sauce. for starter and main. How they charge £18 for my thin pizza I have no idea. We thought about having dessert but at £7 a go we decided not to. I love their food. It is good tasty pizza, But I cannot escape the feeling of being royally ripped off. Disappointing.

Being a very regular customer of this Pizza Express and I am talking at least once a week on occasions more I was really disappointed to order my usual Legerria to find its now on a classic base with a bigger hole cut in the centre, I don't like classic bases as I find them way too doughy so I left most of the base and ate the reduced amount of topping. Also gone is the salad in middle replaced with a pile of cheap tough leaves like it came off a hedge, no tomatoes or dressing included like before apparently you can have tomatoes added at a cost. Very disappointing as it is nothing like the original legerria and should be renamed as something else entirely different . I understand that costs are rising but don't charge similar or more for a very sub standard cheaper version and call it the 'new recipie'. Luckily there are a wide choice of alternative restaurants in the area that we can frequent instead.

Service was so so\\nhowever the food had hair in it. After we complained about it we were told ?it?s only a small hair?\\nWere completely put off our food and didn?t have the main course.\\nwouldn?t recommend this place at all.\\nYOU SHOULD COME HERE IF YOU WOULD LIKE A COMPLIMENTARY STRAND OF HAIR IN YIUR FOOD. MANAGER CARES MORE ABOUT PROFIT RATHER THEN ADDRESSING CUSTOMERS ISSUES.

I came here today with group of overly excited 12 years old. Our waitress was absolutely lovely. She was always nearby and helped me make sure boys had a good birthday party. Then she brought our cake singing happy birthday. Very family oriented place. Love it.

The general vibe is cosy and nice, the staff are friendly and quick and good in their job. We ordered few starters and they were amazingly good. The drinks were good too.However, the main two pizzas we ordered wasn't good, too saucy and lack of flavour. Definitely not a good pizza at all.

Customer service and food second to none. Downstairs toilet clean, but in desperate need modernisation or at the very least repairs and updating.
