If you are a young girl like me and know nothing about cars I would avoid at all costs very very patronising. There are nicer and friendlier places to get your MOT done this was my worst experience

I never reported someone it?s the first time I do , If I could I was given 0 star they charge me £41 for MOT plus £168 for interim service, I asked them what did they do for service they said they change the oil and oil filter, that means they charged me £168 just for oil and oil filters?????? They were so rude , when I called them they cancelled the call while I was talking to them, they said they are looking for the part for my car, I have to wait they will come back to me ,but they didn?t,They said if I buy the part ,they don?t fix my car and I have to pay MOT again, they are useless and so rude, they want just money, they don?t help customers, don?t take your car it?s useless garage

Went in this afternoon to ask for some advice & repair to my car. Very quickly I was told they only do 'body work'. Outside it states a lot more.

Very rude attitude to customers and lies about car faults. Very disappointed with this service. They hung up the call on me and left the broken coil of my car on the passenger seat!

Unexperienced mechanics Avoid at all costs!!And why can you book a wheel alignment online if their machine is broken?I would recommend not to use this garage or Halfords auto center in general

AVOID AT ALL COST. THEY WILL SCAM YOU.I booked MOT and SERVICING for my car some weeks before the appointment day. I took the car in early on the day with the promise my car will be ready by 2pm. I gave them a call at 2pm when i did not hear from them and was told I'll be called in about an hour to collect my car.The male assistant i spoke with asked me to wait for his call before i come in. He then called me at 4pm to inform me that my car could not be serviced because they ordered the wrong engine oil and my car had also failed the MOT due to Tyre issues. They did the MOT before the Service whereas i asked them to carry out the Service first before doing the MOT. He advised me to order tyres with them which would be available the next afternoon, something i refused as Halfords Sidcup could not be trusted. They failed on every service they offered to me on the day. He said they had taken out the old engine oil from my car and then poured it back in when they realised they ordered the wrong oil.I had to buy tyres elsewhere for my car and took it back to Halfords to do the service and redo the MOT. Its has been a disaster since then, my car started performing horribly. It does not drive like a car that had just been serviced.DON'T TAKE YOUR CAR TO HALFORDS SIDCUP, THEY ARE CHARLATANS.

Booked a tyre fitting and wheel alignment at 9 30 , arrived on time and was advised it won't be long for the fitting but the wheel alignment will be done at 13:30 as the ramp was busy. I returned after 40 minutes and the car was outside where I left it and another van was put in front of me because it was Fleet and they had priority over walk in customers. The car was taken in after 1.5 hours of waiting having to cancel my morning appointment because I was not a fleet customer, having an appointment is not relevant to this garage so I advised anyone to stay away. How do they think is acceptable booking a tyre fitting at 9:30 and the wheel alignment a 4 hours later.This is my reference 462/9021617 for my vehicle and I expect an explanation from the management why non Fleet customers are irelevant in they're garage.

Booked an 830 slot fir a brake fluid change. Said it would be an hour and a half when I dropped off keys. I called at 2pm - they said it was about to go on ramp. Called at 4pm - it hadn't been done. Told them I needed to come a d collect it. No apology until I asked for one. Really didn't care.

Took longer then thy said staffs are rely slow. Receptionist don?t take any responsibility.This was my first time in Halfords service. I will not recommend. Only for oil and filter change. You will fell funny if I shear the time

I would put 0 stars if I could. Just reading the reviews, I was already reluctant on going to this garage, but I gave them a benefit of the doubt. (I wish I hadn't)We booked an appointment early in the morning. Went there earlier than our booking, all the staff were just standing outside and the guy said to leave the car with them for the whole day which was fair enough. The staff wasn't pleasant and just wanted to get rid of us as fast as possible. An hour before the garage closes, we got a call saying they didn't manage to work on our car. Got there 40mins before closing, and they were all just standing outside.What is the whole point of doing a booking system, and booking it very early just so they couldn't do the job. We wasted paying for cab getting home, and also another cab just to pick the car up again. Waste of time, and waste of money avoid this garage at all cost.

I would not recommend it at all!!! I went yesterday to do the MOT, they stopped doing it because they said it was too dirty underneath and that it had a substantial oil leak. I rushed to pick it up expecting to see a huge pool of oil on the floor,but there was nothing there and he told me that you can't see it. There was no photo/video of the leak at all. Didn't tell me what to do next.I took the car today to a different dealer, and it passed the MOT!!! I asked about the alleged leak and he said it was minor and it doesn't affect the MOT.Avoid them at all costs!!!

*WARNING, LENGTHY HONEST REVIEW*This review gets 1 star by force purely for the PREVIOUS positive experiences I?ve had at this garage. However my recent experience has led to me question the honesty and integrity of those experiences now.I recently got a full service at my vehicle manufacturers, who told me my rear brake pads were low & needed changing soon. Within 6 days I had booked in with Halfords as I have their brake pad replacement guarantee.However Halfords decided to do their own brake inspection and told me actually all my discs & brake pads needed changing, and what should have been a free repair would now cost me £600! They were very quick to offer me an affordable monthly repayment scheme and hurried me to make the payment so they could get on with the repair.Horrified I called the manufacturer who stated they would be able to fit me in 2 days later to double check everything but that they were sure it was only my brake pads that needed replacing.When I told Halfords I would not be going ahead with the repair today their tone completely changed and told me I should go and see the discs myself, which according to them were so badly worn they were against manufacturer recommendation and wouldn?t advise me to drive the car whatsoever.The man I believe is the manager made sure I overheard him telling his staff that he was ?sorry I wasted their time?.Lo and behold when I took my vehicle back to the manufacturer they reconfirmed everything they had said in the beginning and that my discs were fine.I then took my vehicle to a different Halfords, who tried to do a similar thing but were not as rude and aggressive as the manager at Sidcup branch and who agreed to do the necessary work I had asked for.Stay clear of Sidcup branch if you don?t want to be scammed for money.

Just a first class experience, the team were very warm and welcoming - they were genuinely interested in getting to know me. To be honest, Abs and his team are just really decent people, hard working and honest.The MOT Test was quick, efficient and without delay - communication was great and I will be coming back for all my motoring needs.Keep up the great work.
