We popped into our local Sidcup branch to purchase a birthday card. There was a queue of around 5 people with only 1 person on the tills. Whilst I appreciate balloons have to be inflated I feel that while there is a queue surely this should take priority over the balloons. Having worked in retail for many years myself the staff member did not apologise for the wait and continued to inflate the balloons before serving the customers. There wasn't even a good morning. I left feeling we were a hindrance. In my opinion whilst working in retail we were always told customers before tasking. I do appreciate that this was probably an order as there was noone waiting for balloons but felt a little customer service was needed.

I don?t often write reviews, but wanted to share my experience at The Card Factory, Sidcup this afternoon. Yes, there were a few customers in a queue. However, when I gave my 20 birthday cards to the staff member Brenda to put through the till at the fantastic 5 for £1 offer I did not expect the verbal reaction of ?Bloody Hell?.It was not directed at me, but was spoken aloud. Perhaps it had been a stressful and busy morning, nevertheless I do not excuse this and hope that other customers will not experience similar treatment in the future.The rest of the transaction went smoothly and the cards will bring the recipients much happiness.
