I couldn't rate this post office any lower. The employees are often older and have their own moods when serving you as a client. If they're not in the right mood, they claim certain services like Western Union and DBS document checks are unavailable because they are too lazy to work. I intend to file a complaint with the highest authority possible.

lady was so rude. most asian cultures we do not have the english names we go by on our legal documents sometimes. i got my amazon parcel handled by royal mail and hoped to pick up in the post office. let alone getting absolutely no help from her at all - as i raised that it?s a cultural thing as im from asia, she made comments saying well this is the uk not asia follow the rules in the uk. i have been living in the uk for 6 almost 7 years and never did i have any trouble getting my parcels let alone being rejected from the name i go by my whole life. what happens to, let?s say, trans people who want to change their identities and names and the first thing they can?t do is to simply get a parcel belong to them because of this absolutely rigid rule. i understand it?s for safety and privacy reasons, but i offered to give her all proof of correspondence and email and i even gave her the tracking number, she had the audacity to go into the mailroom, checked if my parcel was there, and walked back out and told me yeah it?s there but you did not have the name address on your ID so i could not take it. what am i to do? i do not have my name addressed on any of my IDs. she said then they would send it the parcel back all the way to the US. from the company?s perspective, does that not cost your company even more if anything? she proceeded that she was of no interest in looking into any proof. fair enough maybe it?s my fault not putting my LEGAL name on the parcel, she then said you?d have to speak to the manager as she had no authority. and of-freaking-course the manager had their day off conveniently.?? it was a tuesday afternoon, working weekday, where the hell is the manager? how on earth is this post office able to run without any supervision? she told me to come back tomorrow when the manager is in, fam, ain?t nobody got time for that. over the course of convo i kept saying i understood and respected that she?s doing her job, but come on. this is why this country gets NOTHING done effectively.

This is the most ridiculous post office I have ever been as the lady with glasses was very rude and unkind at all and that is not the first time doing this , she did not take my postage just because I told her that you could be nicer to customers and leaving people queuing after me and she refused to call any manager as well, never again to that place zero customer service that lady is really rude

No queues. Efficient service and friendly staff for parcel returns.

I can?t believe this post office is allowed to run in such a prime location. It reflects badly on WHSmith for just being in their store. There was no one in the queue (probably because everyone avoids this place at all costs) the lady (with glasses) at the counter ignored me and carried on printing receipts and doing some admin work for a good 10 minutes. She did not care at all. An elderly man then joined behind me & also warned me how bad the service was. There?s too many bad reviews for there to be no action. Common sense would say that you always put customers first but the staff seem so completely overworked that the franchisee needs their license taken off them!

? We don?t have a printer service? because she couldn?t be bothered to get off her chair. When I said that I?ve used the service many times before she replied I have to print it and come back. Bear in mind her colleague printed a label for a customer just minutes before. Beyond lazy and unprofessional.

What's the point of having 5 drop-off tills but only 1 person serving, and that person being extremely slow? Meanwhile, 2 other staff members are staring at the queue on their phones without helping out. The intelligence sometimes blows my mind.

This used to be such a nice welcoming post office where everything could get done quickly and smoothly. I do not know what happened but I have seen new staff here who do not know how to treat customers. First, the queue system is handled in a confusing way. It is not clear where to queue for the service you need. I asked if I could kindly be served first ad I am 9 months pregnant and was told to go back in the queue. I had to ask the employee to repeat this to check my understanding was correct. I could not believe ny ears. I told the employee I did not need any help but she kept handling my parcels saying they were too big for the size I had selected but it turned they perfectly fitted the size I chose. I also heard the same employee telling another customer to "let her do her job". I am absolutely appalled by the level of rudeness and lack of professionalism when handling customers.

The old man behind the counter (70+) is the rudest most unhelpful, most patronising person I have ever met at a post office. It?s not even the 1st time! He needs to retire and make space for helpful people/anybody else. Told me not to use Royal Mail anymore after I told him the site was rubbish and had not worked for at least 48 hours. Evri, UPS, Amazon all beat them with convenience & kindness and then you have him telling customers not to come back!?!I will try my best never to set foot in this branch again! He can?t retire soon enough!

This branch encourages you to use the online machines and then tell you to wait in line so they can accept the parcel.Young woman who has the most sullen attitude of anyone I've met needs to be trained in customer service.Go elsewhere if you can!

If I could give this post office o* I would. The worst customer service I have ever experienced.Very slow staff who do not apologise for long wait times. Awful service.

I barely write any bad reviews anywhere. But the service I got here was horrible.I visited to pick up my parcel that I ordered from an online shopping mall. There were only two staff members when I went. There were lot of people lining up. I can bear with the waiting, it's fine. After a long waiting I was assisted with a middle aged woman. She seemed okay at first, as she guided me out of the queue and went to this machine to scan my QR code for collection. Then she asked for my ID. This is where the problem came as 1. I am an international so I don't usually order my parcel with my legal name as people tend to not read it properly, and 2. I didn't know this would be a huge problem.I explained to her that I ordered my parcel with my preferred name instead, and the ID shows a different name. She just cut me while I was saying, said "no, DPD is strict on this" and was trying to leave the place to serve another customer. That customer asked me if she can ask the staff a real quick question, and she was nice so I understand. After the staff talked to the customer, I called her back why the name is different and asked if the ID with my legal name has a photo of me, and my school ID that has my preferred name has a photo of me as well, can I get it.I didn't interrupt her but she just cut me and said "LET ME TALK. You cannot collect it." and just went away, just leaving me standing there dumbfounded.Honestly a well-known university in London should be more strict than DPD but okay, I understand. Even though no where on the website told me I need to order it with my legal name or something, it is still my fault about not knowing it.But could she not have been nicer in terms of dealing customers? Did I yell at her? Did I interrupt her at all? I don't think I did, then why is she doing all this to me?Whoever is in control of this post office should do better staff training. There are employees who deal these types of situations better than that lady. I don't really care about the fields she works in, but I know that she shouldn't be in customer service at least.

Absolutely unacceptable behaviour of a middle aged woman that works there. I am in shock that people with such low service and unprofessionalism are offered jobs like this. I will be making an officia complaint but the Royal mail need to seriously train their staff for professionalism and atleast acceptable customer service were not even asking for great customer service seems very scarce these days
