Appalling customer service. Items mismatched to its prices. Manager unhelpful and dismissive. Store smells of urine.

I wish I could rate it zero. I have shopped here a few times for a quick missing ingredient but never a full week's shop. So my aunt and I went to buy items for a cocktails/dinner party. After spending 1.5 hours carefully selecting the items we needed, we had to leave them all because of foolish staff members.
I am 29, my aunt is 53. Unfortunately none of us looks underage? and yet they refused to let me pay for my shopping because I wasn't carrying my ID with me.
I mean, we went there on a bus, none of us drives or were travelling abroad, so what ID are you expecting from grown adults? Especially from a 53 year old woman? When we pointed this out they said they are following the law and because I look young, my aunt can't buy the items either. When asked to speak to the supervisor, one lady came and repeated the same idiotic argument.
Avoid this store if you want to spend your money for the company who cares or uses common sense.

had an unpleasant experience with this store many times, stopped shopping there after this incident. I made my weekly shopping and as I was leaving I noticed that both of the lifts are not working, their parking is on the secound floor
I asked to speak to the manager about this (as there was no information or advise from the cashier) Mr manager Riky came after 40 minutes, he was very rude 0 customer service told me to carry my shopping up, I asked the stuff for help wich was very difficult because most of them barely speak English

In the morning there is a Chinese old lady working at the self checkout tills, she greets every single customer when they come and go, she is so friendly and helpful. All the other staff members I've encountered were very friendly and helpful too. The shop is well stocked all the time, tidy and clean. I can't think of anything bad except when the Costa express machine is not working.

Opened in 1983 and has seen very little love since. Car park is a bit grim, but most customers arrive on foot. Staff, some longstanding, have been dealing with the livelier local clientele for years and it shows. Did have a working toilet at one point, but no more. Note there are no public toilets in the immediate area either! Will do the job for most but there are better supermarkets around, and the local shops do the 'world foods' better.

Recently moved to the area and unfortunately this is my local supermarket. AWFUL. I don't know who?s ?managing? this store, but there are serious areas of neglect and malfunction. From the supposed in-store availability on the app, to the physical signposting in store, product range, availability, and general cleanliness. It?s in need of a complete overhaul. That said, the staff are lovely, and hats off to them for working in such a dysfunctional store and still managing a smile. AVOID unless you?re in desperate need of essentials. A shame because it?s such a huge space in an area that needs a large supermarket, but falls very, very short of being a desirable place to shop. Sainsbury?s/Aldi/anyone else, please step in and save South Tottenham from this utterly miserable shopping experience?! Have decided to just do online shopping from other supermarkets now, another shame. ?

Disgracefully rude member of staff unjustifiably asks if I paid for the 30p bags I took. I said yes ofcourse and this idiot decides on her merit that I?m a liar and proceeds to reprint the receipt to check. (Bear in mind it was a very busy period of the day) OVER A THIRTY PENCE BAG!!!! Anyway to my glee and her foolishness it showed I did pay for them and she didn?t even apologise, she just got even sassier. Sort it out Tesco!!!!!
