Two very bad experiences in this branch!!!! The main one was today( wont even go into the other entirely separate issue my son had earlier in the week).Trying to close a nil balance account that has never been used.( it was only opened by staff at Hammersmith branch as a holding account for a bond that was being closed)The 92 year old immobile gentleman signed the statement saying please close as never used and has a NIL balance. He lives in London and is completely housebound.Reception at this unhelpful branch said no as they had to see him or he can phone..... this gentleman ( my dad) is deaf too.So how are they going to identify him on the phone? For a start its almost impossible to get through, ( He has no other accounts at Santander)So how ever are they going to be able to identify him by phone? How do they know its not an imposter who has all his details?Extremely unhelpful lady at Reception who did not care and did not want to help. She did not even look at the account or the signed letter!I guess they can just continue to waste their money sending out statements for a nil balance account that has never or will never be used !

I had 5 minute til closing time and i made it..yes! The women, Caroline helped me straight away, even though it was coming to 430 she still stayed to help me and one other person, she multiple task.. and still managed to have time to talk.Please keep this Santander open, its on my way home, the people are so lovely and i feel very comfortable ( despite virus rules)Also two years ago I was planning the flowers for my wedding across from the bank, unfortunately they told me that they couldn't arrange my wedding flowers as they weren't open on the date of my wedding, i was so upset. I went into the bank to deposit some money, i broke into tears in front of the women, i felt embarrassed, but oh my god they were all so amazing, they sat me down, gave me some water and one other colleague gave me professional flower persons number.Not only did they look after me but they work well as a team and came together to make amazing customer service. ( in this case a bride in stress)

First visit during COVID and I was apprehensive. Rita dealt with an international payment in a friendly, reassuring yet professional manner. She also kindly phoned me immediately she spotted I had left my credit card behind. She is a credit to Santander.
