I just went to this store to have a contact lense check. This was fine went quickly. I asked a member of staff to tighten my glasses. As I usually get this done everytime I go and they give the lenses a clean etc. my glasses were handed back to me by a young boy with braces who explained that he had bent them ?back into shape? as soon as I put them on I couldn?t see properly but I didn?t have time to ask questions as I had to leave for a meeting. As I cleaned them myself, I noticed that the lense was halfway out of the frame. I have popped it back into place but these are brand new specsavers glasses that I purchased just last year and I will be bringing them back in to get the frames replaced. This is unacceptable. Why would you allow a quite clearly inexperienced staff member to ?bend? someone?s glasses.

My recent experience at Specsavers for my second eye test and OCT was disappointing, to say the least. Last year, I encountered issues with my glasses causing severe headaches, which required multiple returns to the shop for adjustments. Despite this, I decided to give them another chance, mainly due to a voucher from my workplace.Initially, my scheduled appointment was confirmed a week in advance, but upon arrival, I was informed that the OCT machine was broken, a crucial detail I should have been informed about beforehand. Despite their insistence, I refused to proceed with just a regular eye test, as I was specifically there for both tests. I had to reschedule for another day.Today's appointment didn't fare any better. The customer service was subpar, with an evident lack of staff to adequately assist customers. The opticians seemed overworked and unhappy, rushing through the eye test without care or professionalism. Additionally, a system error caused a 15-minute delay during payment, requiring manual intervention from the manager. This delay led to a chaotic scene where my prescription and glasses were carelessly moved from table to table, resulting in items being dropped on the floor.Overall, the atmosphere was stressful, disorganized, and lacking in professionalism. It's clear that Specsavers needs to invest in more staff and improve their service significantly. Hopefully, this time I won?t have any issues with my new glasses. Unfortunately, this experience has led me to conclude that I won't be returning to Specsavers in the future.

Had an appointment yesterday. Very thorough and professional eye examination. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very short wait for appointment. Very competitive prices. 5 stars!

Brilliant service, I popped in there to buy new glasses,and was able to see the optician within 20mins,lasses ordered straight away, on Mon, ready for collection sun.. brilliant

Not my usual branch but no matter?.I live aboard a narrowboat and move around the UK so I?m never in the same place on the anniversary of my eye test. As a customer of Specsavers this doesn?t matter. My records are available whichever branch I go into. I?m currently moored at Limehouse so the Surrey Quays Branch is a quick tube ride away. The branch was efficient and the staff friendly. I was seen immediately by good humoured people from reception to the staff undertaking the scans from the optometrist to the staff member who fitted my specs everyone was attentive. Fantastic service.

Carlos, the manager, was very helpful and thorough in his findings & explanations when I came to see him. He was very responsive and quick when I initially sent an inquiry via email too.Highly recommend for such great customer service from beginning to end. Thank you

I visited Specsavers in Surrey Quays to change my lenses. All the staff were excellent and I was very satisfied with the service. And my lenses were ready several days earlier than expected

I bought my glasses at Specsavers Surrey Quays in December 2022. As of December 2023, the coating on the lenses came off and it became hard to see through them. As a comparison, the lenses I had made the previous time elsewhere (and with a price 20% higher) lasted for 4 years. I then went to the shop and asked if there was a chance to get free replacement. The answer was initially "yes, there is a chance, but we cannot guarantee as of now". Because I would have had to send my current glasses in for checking, which would have taken 5 days, I had to first get replacement glasses. So I did, at the same shop (unfortunately). Once the replacement glasses came back, the manager then told me that it is not possible to get free replacement on the original glasses because more than 100 days have passed since purchase. Had I known that in the first instance, I would not have got replacement glasses there. In conclusion, I paid Specsavers twice for bad quality lenses. Unless you are financially struggling, I recommend avoiding Specsavers because their cheap glasses are more expensive in the long run. Specsavers have cheated me just to get a second payment from me. When I said "well, your manager last time did not tell me about the 100-day time limit", instead of saying something like "I'm sorry for the confusion caused", the staff said "I'm sure they would have". Not only they cheated, the also doubted me and made me feel stupid. Very bad experience. I look forward to getting my new glasses done at a more professional supplier.
