Walking into the Wickes in Chadwell Heath, I was immediately struck by how clean and well-organized the store was. It's a busy place, but every aisle was neat, and there were no stray products or rubbish, which can often be the case in hardware stores. This cleanliness made it incredibly easy to navigate and find what I was looking for.
I was there to pick up a variety of items for a small home renovation project, and I was pleased to find that they had everything I needed in stock. From paint and brushes to new door handles and some plumbing parts, the shelves were well-stocked. I didn't have to wander from one end of the store to the other trying to locate a specific item, as the layout was logical and the signage was clear.
The staff were also very helpful. They were on hand to answer my questions and point me in the right direction without being overbearing. It?s always a relief when you can get assistance without feeling like you're interrupting someone's work.
Overall, my experience at the Chadwell Heath Wickes was excellent. The combination of a clean and tidy environment, a comprehensive range of products, and helpful staff made my shopping trip efficient and stress-free. I would highly recommend this store to anyone undertaking a DIY project, big or small. It?s a reliable and well-managed branch that clearly prioritizes the customer experience.

I ordered some flooring online for a Click and Collect service. I was offered a very good alternative by staff for the underlay.
When I reached the store, I was served by a charming young man called Tarandeep, who was super helpful, showing me other items I required. He even helped me load the flooring into my car.
Great customer service should be applauded. Such team members are a credit to the business.
Parking was plentiful in the large shared carpark.

I purchased cobblestones via delivery and had to return these heavy bags back. I went to customer service and asked if anyone can help me get these heavy bags out of the car due to my back pain, Mandy who served me without hesitation agreed to do this. I want to say a special thanks for helping me she is an asset to Wickes Chadwell Heath and should be promoted you rarely get excellent customer service these days!!

Avoid Wickes for Kitchen Installations ? A Costly Mistake
If you're thinking about using Wickes to supply and install your kitchen, don?t do it , you?ll likely regret it. I?m currently helping a relative deal with a botched Wickes installation that?s turned into a nightmare.
Wickes subcontracts the work to poorly vetted tradespeople. In our case, they sent a bathroom fitter to install a kitchen, completely unqualified for the job. The result? Off-cut timbers left supporting worktops, a gas hob installed incorrectly with no gas safety certificate, and shoddy workmanship throughout.
Their designers are more interested in making commission than getting the design right. There was no pre-installation survey, and when things didn?t fit, they literally hacked into plasterwork to make units squeeze in. The kitchen was clearly not designed properly from the outset.
Now we?re exploring legal options, but it?s going to be a long, exhausting process. My cousin is nearly £20,000 out of pocket due to Wickes? incompetence.
Please think twice before signing anything , don?t get taken in by the slick showroom or sales pitch.

Absolutely appalling my parents have ordered a kitchen from wicks it has been delivered with bits missing and 10 days on still no fitters have turned up - nor the missing items my parents are in their 80?s and the stress is more than worrying and now wicks are ignoring all calls - their prices maybe good but their after care is atrocious - don?t trust them and don?t purchase

Avoid that shop last time when I was the ladies was more focus on the private life of a colleague then helping customers I just finish to but in more expensive shops where the customer support Is actually helping

Really poor customer service. The staff has no clue where the products are displayed. The online stock says my selected items are in stock and availability for click and collect and at stores they are blaming the Wickes computer system saying there is a mistake online and we don't have your selected items. The Wickes Management needs to take actions before it's too late and they start losing customers to B&Q which isn't too far from here.
