Food very oily. Parsnips sitting in a dish of oil. Upset my stomach. The dessert was ok. Will not go there again.

Matching joggers and hoodies for the boys, your best crushed velour for the girls! To be fair, the servers are great, the food great and there is a better choice of green vegetables than my own local carvery - thank you for a great Sunday roast.

Mothers Day lunch at 1:00 p.m. local Toby, and have been many times before. This time not impressed for the following reasons. Firstly, before we had even sat down, was asked what we wanted to drink, even before having a chance to look at the menu. Secondly, friendly approach of carver, but unfortunately poor girl hadn't been trained how to carve meat or the knife was blunt or both, as what was placed on the plate had been butchered, no pun intended. Had the impression that there was a joking competition amongst staff as to who could seve the meat the quickest, with the visible consequences. Thirdly, not the selection of vegetables seen before, and all the vegetable dishes whilst full, were cold on cold plates. Only the gravy pots were full and hot. So not an enjoyable, cold meal. To the credit of the 'new' server that cleared our plates, when she was told that the food was cold, apologised and said she would speak to the manager. Returned to say that one of the meals had been removed from the bill (2 persons] - would have been appreciated more had this been in person from a senior member of the management. Not impressed - and given the unsurprising increase in the cost of 'eating out' will certainly be considering other local alternatives in future.

Polite staff and good food

Everything was great and friendly. Logically seating a wheelchair blocking the route to the toilet is foolish. Seated nearby sure but totally infuriating when blocking the accessibility of the accessible toilet.
Wheelchair accessibility: There is room for a couple of people who have electric wheelchairs if at different ends of the room as they take up a lot of space. Seating one by accessible toilet and others elsewhere became difficult because the other wheelchair occupant who was seated right by the toilet door, they werenot good at maneuvers. Unfortunately they took a very long time to catch on that if I'm in a wheelchair also they need to make room enough for another wheelchair not a squeeze by space they were used to. I had to keep saying please can you move out of my way so i can get by. He seemed like a nice old man but a little deaf which only added to my predicament as many wheelchair owners know our bladder is not great if working at all. Delays to empty can trigger an infection so it becomes a nightmare when these unforeseen circumstances occur. In short it took him 20min to maneuver out of the way. It would have been better to not seat a wheelchair in front of the only disabled toilet in the restaurant. So that whole section had to move to enable the wheelchair to move out of the way for another wheelchair to use the toilet.

Food was ok but the service is so so slow,the man cutting the meat is half asleep,waited ten minutes to see a member of staff to order dessert,I will go back to my other one next time!!!!!!

I just wanted to say a massive thank you for our dinner tonight. The food was great overall, though the roasted potatoes weren?t quite to our taste?but still enjoyable!
A special shoutout to our waiter - Gabriella, who was incredibly polite and helpful throughout the evening. Despite a particularly loud and somewhat rude table in the restaurant, we still had a wonderful time. James, the manager was also very funny and added to the great atmosphere.
We truly appreciate the experience and will definitely be back!

We had dinner at your restaurant around 18:30 today and wanted to provide some feedback. The food was excellent, and our waiter, Gabi, gave us fantastic service. Unfortunately, some nearby customers were very rude and disrespectful to your staff. Thankfully, manager James handled the situation professionally. We'll be back for sure keep up the good work!

We did not enjoy our 1pm lunch at all because nothing was very fresh and all lukewarm .. and the roast potatoes were disgusting, they were so overcooked the middles had disappeared and inedible. The teapot and teaspoon were badly stained and looked like they had been used several times and not been washed.There was no handsoap in any of the toilets which was worrying especially at the thought of all the hands on the serving utensils. Overall thoroughly dissatisfied ?

Terrible. Really gone downhill. Hardly any breakfast items available. Waited around for ages for items to become available. Even then, not the full menu.. had to sort through dirty plates to try and find one clean enough to use and not have old bean juice on them. Last time at Tobys for me.
