On the 25th of November I went into branch to close my help to buy ISA as I am completing on a property on the 15th of December. I was told this should be a quick process and would be completed then and there. The actual process of closing the help to buy account took 30 minutes. However, after it was closed I was told they could not print the closing statement (which is needed by my solicitor to claim the goverment bonus) in branch but she would be able to print it out and send it to me by post. I assumed this could be sent alternatively via email or by the Lloyds app but it cannot.I still haven't received the paperwork and have been in branch multiple times this week for an update to which I have met a dead end.I have escalated this to Lloyds head office and they have informed me that this is a branch problem and they should have been able to print this for me immediately. There is obviously an issue at this branch where they cannot print these statements and the issue has not been resolved or dealt with.Sarah the branch manager has said it is a nationwide issue and out of her hands.I have been told by head office that this is not the case at all.I am going to lose my goverment bonus as I am due to complete on my purchase of the property on the 15th of December and this cannot be extended due to a chain.

The review is based on few seating areas for customers and this is bad for people who cannot stand for longer.

RE: Romford Market Place branch.I found all the staff to be helpful, but more so Sarah Sutherland who served me at the service desk on Wednesday 5th October to arrange a CHAP?s. She was very diligent to protect our money, helpful and thorough in her work. Took time to make sure everything was in place with her superior and remained very pleasant.Easy to complain, important to compliment too.

Lloyds now (often) shut "for lunch" since the branch closures and sad staff redundancies of the cost cutting exercise that used Covid-19 as the excuse. On this occasion there was a sudden strong downpour and a queue of 12 people including myself in business attire moved close to the building but could not avoid the rain. I could see staff inside returning from their lunch whilst their customers were outside unable to enter and getting wet. It made me very angry indeed. While waiting 45 minutes for I needed a document to give another supplier, I went to ask other banks in Romford;- NatWest do Not close for lunch- HSBC.. do Not close for lunch- Barclays.. do Not close for lunch- Co-op (opposite) do Not close for lunchLloyds Threadneadle St, in the City close for lunch but only have 2 cashiers. I'd expect them to stagger their lunches but two people might be difficult to avoid closing at lunchtime.Lloyds Romford?..They had FOUR personal bankers in Branch on that day. Therefore an indefensible executive board policy to close branches and reduce staff numbers (losing some wonderful Lloyds staff) is coupled by the manager at Romford Lloyds permitting four bank staff to close for... One hour and a half mid-week.This is undeniably terrible service that cannot but show contempt for we the customers. Very sad to see.
