So last year, I had to replace my bank card and I had to choose this HSBC in order to get it. When I finally got my card, I noticed that t' envelope had been opened, luckily my bank card was still there. I no longer feel able to trust this bank due to it. I should have made a complaint there and then but due to personal reasons I wasn't able to nor able to write a review til now.If you get a new bank card please make sure that it's not opened and if you do find it opened please report it and make a complaint there and then.

I went to HSBC Romford to open account for my mother who am power of attorney for they took my number because nobody seemed to know what to do haven't heard from them since very disappointing which was quite a large amount as well

No counter so largely pointless. Although why there is no counter when there isn?t a HSBC for miles is a strange one. On my last visit (this past Friday), the staff that are in the branch are of no use and not able to help with anything besides opening the door?Not that they even did that!

HSBC in Romford Market use to be Midland Bank (before HSBC bought Midland Bank in the 1990s).Up to 2022 HSBC Romford Market use to have bank clerks with counters for you to deposit/withdraw cash etc but sadly since 2023 these people have been removed.Now it doesn't feel like a real bank because in real banks you have bank clerks with counters for you to deposit/withdraw cash etc from.Now the nearest HSBC branch with bank clerks with counters for you to deposit/withdraw cash etc is in Barking.....Its barking mad, its crazy to have it only there in east London and no way am I going up there just for these services, some high up over paid managers in HSBC's UK head office made the silly decision to remove bank clerks and counters from HSBC Romford.Yes you have machines to make/withdraw cash but the machines can't handle bent/old/crunched up/partly torn notes and can't really handle cash..i.e.The machines won't let you swap £2 of 5p coins for a £2 coin etc.The machine won't let you swap bent/old/crunched up/partly torn notes for new flat ones.Which you could do in the past when you had bank clerks with counters.--------The staff are great and I have no problems with them.--------In the past HSBC bank staff looked smart with men in shirt and ties and women in proper office clothes, so you knew you was at a bank and dealing with bankers.But now their new uniforms look more like clothes which Ali-G or rappers would ware rather than bank workers, so it doesn't look right and can be off putting.The new uniforms are not the fault of HSBC Romford, they are the fault of some manager high up in HSBC's UK head office making a silly decision on what clothes HSBC staff should ware in 2023.--------Other banks in Romford have bank clerks with counters but HSBC doesn't and you feel like you're 2nd class, you feel like you're missing out on this service and that?s not nice.The lack of bank clerks with counters is a huge negative for the branch.The bank manager has got to talk to head office to get this reversed because its not fair for some Romford customers (who are not very technical = can't use the machines) not to have access bank clerks with counters to deposit/withdraw cash etc from.

I was told that 2 credit cards from the same bank is not possible, yet I applied via my app for a rewards card and it was approved in minutes and ready to be used on my Apple Pay along with my existing credit card. The female clerk who served me does not have the product knowledge to provide to customers and she also gave me bad advice previously for my mother.

A nightmare to open a joint account with my wife I have been in 4 times in branch and non of the staff members have been helpful. Just wasted my time and I took my leave days for something useless!! Useless staff!! Better for you guys to be more specific with customers!!

Came here to transfer my trust fund to my main account and as I just turned 18 I was feeling a bit nervous to do all this alone but they were lovely and helped me with swiftness also had to get my name changed on my bank account and they helped me with that aswell
