I am writing to raise a complaint regarding the conduct of the store manager, Billy, at Dunelm Romford (No. 0640).
During a recent visit with my mother and two children, we spent over £550. My brother, a student, could not attend, and I asked if we could use his student discount. Billy refused, which I accept if against policy, but his response was rude and unprofessional. When I asked if, as a manager, he could use discretion, he said: ?It?s common sense you can?t use it.?
This remark was dismissive and disrespectful. As a customer making a large purchase, I expected courtesy, not to be spoken down to. A store manager should lead by example in customer service, and I felt undervalued.
I request that this incident be investigated and that I receive a formal apology. I trust steps will be taken to prevent such behaviour in future

I was returning my order and the lady was extremely rude to me. She was complaining about how i had folded the package yet i vas never told, i helped her and she just lost her temper and started being rude and fed up as if i had something wrong.

Needed to purchase blinds in a certain size which were not on the shop floor. I Asked CSA George if he could check if they had any in the warehouse? George scanned the item and found 2 were in stock & bought one out!!! Absolutely brilliant customer service from George!!

Poor Service Experience at Dunelm (Curtains and Blinds Section)
I recently visited the Dunelm store and had a deeply disappointing experience in the curtains and blinds section. One of the staff members, Tracey, was unhelpful, unprofessional, and dismissive. Rather than assisting customers, she was engaged in personal conversation with a friend and showed no interest in helping those waiting for service.
Several customers, including myself, were ignored despite clearly needing assistance. What was even more troubling was the feeling that her behavior may have been influenced by bias or judgment based on ethnicity, which is completely unacceptable in any customer service setting.
It?s disheartening to see such behavior, especially from someone expected to represent the values of a respected brand like Dunelm. The lack of professionalism and courtesy left me feeling unwelcome and disrespected. I would not recommend this location to others based on this experience.
I hope Dunelm takes this feedback seriously and provides staff training to ensure all customers are treated with fairness, respect, and professionalism.

I?m so grateful for Daniela (the Italian girl) that served us today. She went above and beyond our expectations and recommending products and helping us make a final selection. She was extremely professional, kind, carrying and very considerate, we spent a lot of time talking to her. Thank you for your help and well done on your customer service!!

Even though I was running late to the shop, no click & collect order in a sale?The Very Lovely Customer Assistant Tony went into the back to check on an item for me after the size I wanted wasn?t on the shelves, taking time out of what I could see was her busy end of shift work load. Thank you very much Tony & Dunelm?My 1st visit to this shop and I?ll definitely come again :)
