I've been a fan of CEX for many years and overall its a good place to buy 2nd hand IT stuff. Whatever you get is covered by a 1-2 year warranty which is great to know.You can also-1)Trade in your old IT stuff and pay the difference in price for stuff they have on sale in the shop, that = cheaper price of the item you want = good news.2)Sell your old IT stuff and get paid or get a voucher to pay for some thing else you need at another point in time.In theory its a good idea but in practice you don't get as much cash or voucher value as CEX sell the same item.CEX sell the same item at roughly double what they pay you in cash/voucher which isn't that good but its better than nothing.It would be nice if CEX gave you 1/2 the price in cash/voucher which they sell the item, CEX's CEO would need to make new rules to do this.------------CEX have an online store, if you see some thing in CEX-Romford you can buy it online and pick it up which saves on postage costs (if you live localy).If you don't live localy then you have to pay a flat postage fee which on lower price items can almost double their total price.......ouch.CEX's website doesn't allow free delivery to CEX-Romford to pick it up which is annoying as we have a store in Romford.CEX's website doesn't allow items at one store to be sent to CEX-Romford thats annoying.But this isn't the fault of CEX-Romford, its down to their CEO to sort this out.------------CEX-Romford is great, they have many IT goods in stock, their staff are friendly, make time to listen and know their stuff so if you talk in "IT tech language" they will understand what you say as well as talking to normal people in normal language.There's one annoying thing, if you get there 10-15 mins before closing time, their staff wont let you in as they want to shut up shop and go home at closing time.------------As an IT store I recommend CEX and CEX-Romford, I trust them and the goods they sell, their prices are honest and reasonable.Unlike other similar shops in Romford who sell over priced IT goods, CEX won't rip you off or over price goods you buy from them (thats what I've found over the years).Prices of the items are the same if you got them in CEX-Aberdeen-Scotland down to CEX-Brighton-England etc and thats nice to know.Yes CEX have a few problems but no one's perfect, we are all human.

Sold a phone to this store today. Spoke to 2 members of staff, both really helpful and friendly. Main guy who served me was Jack M.Really good customer service and everything done quickly but with care.Cheers guys, keep it up ?

Staff are hit & miss but a few are good to have a chat with, others are more like zombies who just scan stuff (Think the ending to Shaun of the Dead type Zombies) but never had a problem trading stuff in or buying & normally in & out within 5 minutes.

My son has been shopping here for years, and staff are always friendly and go above and beyond to help him with whatever he needs. Never had a bad experience with this store!

Today my wife and I drive 2 hours to get in this store because it was the only store with the product I wanted available in the stock. We arrived 1 hour and 15 min before their closing time. Cex take 30 min to test a product depending on their volume of workload. Store was empty and they have 5 staff members that were talking among themselves and non of them could test my device and the shop floor was empty. The red hair girl claim to be the team leader was really impolite and refused to give her name claiming data protection when they have all their names written on the labels of the products they test ( she lied again) I would suggest to the owner that you are paying 5 salaries for no reason because those people do not want to work. I hope this complaint don't fall in empty ears. And thanks guys for ruined my birthday.

i used to love this store, but the recent staff are rude and misogynistic. if you're a woman please don't shop or try to sell games here. one of the male staff members refused to sell most of my games because they were "dirty" (this shop sells scratched discs so they can't even try to take the upperhand on this, the dirt was discolouration from being 10+ years old). he constantly tried to mansplain one of my favourite games to me and treated me if I knew nothing about video games. I've been here with my boyfriend and the male staff treated me much differently compared to when I was without him. what you sell and refuse to take is also ridiculous. I understand refusing to take a now free to buy game, but you literally sell it in this exact store. also ps, if you're looking to get an ipad, buy it new. they sell second hand 3rd gens for as much as a new 9th gen ipad.

Cex Romford a absolute disgrace I brought a MacBook Air for £595 only to get home to find they have put a password on it tried to call the store to find out what it was only to be told by a recorded message if I need to speak to their customer service go online and fill out a form or go to their Facebook page took over 24 hours to finally get a response via messenger try 5 different passwords so I did then MacBook locked for 59 mins went back to the store they tried and locked it for 3 hours at this point I said I want my money back they said no we have to do a warranty test and if they can?t unlock it then I might get my money back.Well that has taught me a lesson should have just paid £300 pound more in the Apple Store will not ever shop there again.Photos added regarding return policySo all of the above makes me right.Will be getting my refund tomorrow and go straight to the Apple Store.

I refuse to go in here anymore. The music is always so loud you can?t hear the staff speak and they are so rude! Even to a new member of staff who was trying to help me. Everything was too much trouble. Just awful. It used to be a great place but not anymore. Really sad. On a positive note I had great customer service in Chelmsford, Edmonton and East Ham branches which is where I spent my money. The reviews tell head office all they need to know yet nothing is done ?

Really poor customer services. Big chap with curly hair and glasses clearly didn?t want to do any more work when I went in. Claimed my product had an issue (when it didn?t) and wouldn?t take it. He also (no idea why) rubbed the device all over the work surface, creating a scratch on the display. I took it to Chelmsford instead where they couldn?t have been more helpful and processed my trade in. Will not be using Romford store going forward, appalling service and lack of customer service. The guy who served me at Romford shouldn?t be in a customer facing role he is completely unsuited to the job.

Just popped in today and can tell you it was the WORST experience I have ever had in store. LAZY and incompetent. Not one staff member wanted to bother doing their JOB. Talking amongst themselves whilst customers are waiting to be served properly. Never stepping into this specific branch again. The Manager of the store needs to get this team checked. Disgraceful behaviour and management. DO BETTER! The 1 star is for eligibility to post this review.
