Good range of supplies and friendly staff. Could maybe do with another member of staff on the tills during busy periods.

Extremely narrow and very difficult to fit wheelchairs through shop. Lots of stock stacked up blocking access to shelves.

Fairly typical WHS High Street layout. Trying to be all things to all people and coming up a bit bland. Good range of popular reading, stationery, some toys, greetings cards and a small Post Office. Staff were uniformly polite and efficient, and I was surprised by a cheery welcome from a staff member (I presume he was staff, or less likely a particularly friendly native!) on entry.

Good Post Office on the first floor but generally not well organised and some "cheap" items are surprisingly expensive (e.g. gift tags, that is a small piece of card with a string attached at 50p each anyone? Or very ordinary wrapping paper at £3.50 for 2 meters).

High Street branch.Always conveniently for a quick shopping of stationary, cards, books. It has steps and/or a lift to the 1st floor Post Office, Money Exchange Bureau for that holiday cash (better rates if you book via the GPO Web site) and their own sales items, including boxes and sellotape (helping hand really) There is handy Post Box there as well (since most of outdoors boxes have disappeared recently) and lots of Post Office "new DoYourself machines".Well signposted now as previously one could have been confused as who was who.The WHSMITH branch have now re arranged nearly every shelf. I wonder if this idea was based on our local supermarkets....
