I've always found the staff kind and helpful in Richmond. I really miss the one in Twickenham as I need to get a bus now . I hope this one doesn't close

The service they provide is so unprofessional. I have had already 4 appointments with them trying to open an account for my son and EVERY time they send us home requesting different documents. I am not talking about their attitude towards ordinary clients: late for the time, arrogant and sometimes careless.
It is way better to open an account in a different branch.

Rude customer service. After queuing for ages and just as it was my turn to be seen, I was abruptly told by staff to come away as they could apparently help. Only to then be told, actually no, you have to get back in line. Customers should be allowed to been seen at the service counter if they so wish.

In hospital with sepsis shock after week tried to cancel standing order and asked for comfirming email that it had been done. The bank does not help but expects all technology at your finger tips even if you are in a hopeless situation.

Whilst the staff on the counter were really lovely helping us book an appointment, when we came back a week later the manager went met with had double booked our appointment and so tried to get us to leave without helping us, telling us we could do what we needed online without even listening to what we needed.
She was rude and had no patience to listen to us, and with the clear displays in branch that Santander was listed as below the top 10 banks in the UK, we've found better options to bank with now.

Two weeks after I provided my proof of ID for them to scan and send to Santander HQ, I was informed when following up that they (HQ) never received the papers. As a result I missed the ISA deadline. Not impressed at all!

Sharon helped me (Adrian) to unlock my pin number on a very busy day at Richmond branch. She is always very helpful and kind. She knows what she's doing. Thank you, Sharon.

Travelled all the way to Richmond on Tuesday the 8th only to find bank closed due to covid. It would be nice if the web Site stated closed. Impossible now to talk to anyone on the phone, if I go tomorrow will the same thing happen. Need to update phone numbers and pay in cheques. The country is going to rack and ruin over covid.

I don't normally write reviews, but felt the need to balance out the negative ones (which were definitely a lockdown effect, nonetheless valid) as I had a very delightful visit yesterday. The staff member who greeted me at the door was such a lovely gentleman. While I was being served in one of the booths, I overheard him consoling an old lady who got harassed on the streets and came in to Santander for safety. He sat with her the entire time until she got picked up by her daughter to make sure she was okay. The staff member who served me in the booth was equally as nice and patient, and I went in there to close down my current account 20 mins before the branch was closing...

This was my first time in the branch and two members of staff were very curt and impatient, verging on rude. I had arrived 10 minutes early and the first words were "what you want?" After I waited outside untill the proper opening time and They made it seem like they were frustrated and exhausted merely at the sight of me, and the interaction with them was filled with Interruptions and sighs. Additionally the information they gave me in branch was completely contrary to what I received over the phone. They did everything they could to end the conversation and get on with whatever else they had. I know we're all tired and frustrated with lockdown, but their behaviour is still really shocking for a bank.
